  1. I achieved this using a python script once that takes a transparent png and places it over the original image. Is that beyond your capability?
  2. I've just dropped out to grab a spot of lunch and while i was at it, i chose to put a splash of fuel in the bike. The PA system crackled with some inaudible instruction, followed by some gesticulated instructions which i presumed meant "remove your helmet". Nope. That ain't happening. I went into the shop and reminded them that we've just been through a 2 year pandemic, where people covering their face wasn't just encouraged, but mandatory. It's their "policy". It wasn't last week. When did the policy change? They've always had it. I smelled BS. The only thing I can think is that when i pulled up, there was a couple of lads on a bike next to me. So i suspect they were assuming that I was a party to the same shenanigans they were. They then said "we get a lot of drive offs." I accept that, but then you're making the assumption that i'm going to do the same thing. You're accusing me of a crime before I've had the opportunity to commit it! I put forward my arguments for not removing my lid while filling up (place is swimming with diesel etc). eventually they relented and allowed me to fill up. The lads on the bike next to me were cheering me on. I don't especially like discrimination. I'm hald tempted to go back and fill up the car with my lid on and see if the same "policy" applies.
  3. Treated the bike to some new rubber today. The difference in handling is night and day. The old tyres were original to the bike 15 years ago and are looooong overdue a change.
  4. Was very active a few years back, but put the bike passion on hold to start a family. Have since got back on after my old bike was pinched. Looking forward to seeing who of the old crew are still knocking around!
  5. MOD 1 is more tricky than MOD2. I passed MOD1 first time with no minors - but it was still challenging and made me sweat! I found the key to it was remaining calm. Talk to the examiner - as him to clarify things if you're uncertain. keep you revs and your head up and remember what your teacher taught you. Think about being really positive on the steering input. for the swerve, sit upright and give the handle bar a good push and use countersteering to get round that cone, you should never clip it! Additionally, enjoy riding on that tarmac. nowhere else in the UK is there tarmac smoother than a MOD 1 test center!
  6. Ok, I'm interested, but have some questions. Is it like an on call thing - or am i liable to be working from 7pm to 7am? how the hell does anyone working full time fit those sort of requirements in with their day job?
  7. sadly i think you're right - sony seem to be distancing themselves from it already. one other annoying thing about VR is the fact you're so sensorily deprived - so you can't actually have a conversation with you other half while playing. It's very cool - but ultimately very lonely.
  8. I have VR. VR is freaking awesome, but I've been utterly disappointed by the lack of full titles for it thus far. REVII looks like the first proper title and by all accounts - it's freaking awesome. I do want!
  9. cheers, Always nice to hear of a trusted ebayer! In fairness, I haven't had a great deal of trouble from ebay - but you do hear some horror stories!
  10. If you share every penny, then this could be where you're struggling. IMHO the best way to work it is to have a joint pot which mortgage/rent and bills come out of. each party pays an equal amount into this pot. over payment into this pot pays for our holidays. Then each party has their own money to spend and manage how they see fit. for me it goes on christmas and birthday presents for her - and for her it goes on birthday and christmas presents for her. Works very well! Seriously though with a maintained split in finances, it allows you each to pursue your own hobbies and save and spend whatever you see fit.
  11. I quit 10 years ago and have not bothered with vaping.
  12. cold weather is fine with the right gear. Sleet is frickin horrible. I remember getting caught on the motorway once when it started sleeting. you open your visor and you get sleet in your eyes, you close the visor and the sleet sticks. you open it a crack and everything fogs up and you can't see a thing. Worst experience ever!
  13. struggling to think what my first game was. Probably something on the C64. I remember playing dynamite dan, jet set willy, eldon and the like. first console i had was the NES. first games i had was super mario bros and duck hunt. followed up a couple of days later with a game called "section-z". I wanted mario 2, but my dad said i already had a platform game and wouldn't i prefer a side scroller (i.e. he prefers side scrollers!). Always been a gamer, Always will be a gamer. I've had a minecraft account since 2010 (was looking just last night) when the game was early beta. It's a sandbox survival sim. Basically it's lego. The PC version allows for mods to be build where elements of the core code are extended and overloaded by modified code allowing for some pretty special new items such as engines, trains, computers, mining "turtles" and mining machines (to name but a few.) My wife doesn't understand it at all. When i tell her it's a game with no real purpose, she doesn't get it. It's just fun to be creative.
  14. I know of hudgells. their name's plastered all over the KC!
