Little taster of the IOM TT game at the bike show.

I wouldnt buy a helmet if it didnt fit like this at first. The interiors mould to your face over time so if it fitted from the start it wouldnt fit too well later on.

New tyres will transform the feel especially at that mileage and age.

best first time bike for commute
tuktuk replied to Jonnybrown's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
Im using an fz6 to do 20 miles a day. So cheap to run and perfect through traffic. If i could go back i would get the faired version as 70mph is a bit windy, got a little screen coming to try and combat that. -
My sis works for sky so i get free EVERYTHING! All box office content etc If you know someone that works for them they can put you on a family and friends package... something like £40 per month for everything.

ZXR750 turbo conversion
tuktuk replied to Mr Fro's topic in Old Motorbikes, Projects and Restorations
I can sympethise sbout wsnting to jack it in. When i got my first bike i spent a small fortune on powder coating wheels, painting fairings, chain/sprockets etc only for the crank seal to blow on its first ride! Took the engine out and got stuck when it came to seperating the crank from its casing, tried all sorts of pullers, heat, freezing spray nothing would touch it! Mate came round with a sledgehammer in the end and it came out like a rocket Then i had to start rebuilding it for the first time I seen delboys garage on youtube has just bought a turbo project. -
Id say there is an argument for Northumberland and the scottish borders being a track

Nice! You need to pull the plug off your headlight next time. I need a track bike! Had a bit of a moment with cold tyres and ended up sat on the tank at one point Every time i take the blade i end up saying how good the day was but i cant risk taking this again... then i book another. Once the daily bike is sold i will habe space to fill

Big chain and padlock, almax now do a 22mm link chain for example. Unless they use oxy acetylene then they are going to have to make a bit of noisr getting through that. Unfortunately if they have their mind set on taking it then who knows what lengths they will go to.
