  1. If you wanted to get it spot on you would need front and rear paddock stands to get it dead level If you check it on the centre stand and then on the deck it will be over the full mark, so as the previous posts have said if you do it to the middle you wont be far out It will also give a different level again if like mine it's jacked up at the rear a little bit so again it depends on how anal yo really want to be Mine is jacked up by 30mm and although it's not too much does make it show higher than it is so all things to take in to account Hope this helps and gives you an idea on how it can be effected
  2. Good luck with it and as they say just get as much practise as you can
  3. How far to the nearest supermarket car park Take a short trip down to there and you can practise all of you slow movements Once you've mastered that it should give you more confidence and then you can tackle the roadat the weekend weather permitting that is
  4. Having had a quick look at your beam pattern it looks like the headlight is the wrong way up Is it fixed into the fairing should it have one or just the round head light unit Even if it's a round headlight they can normally only go one way as the adjusters are at the bottom of the unit and screws are offset to stop that happening The next step would be get another bike beside yours and see how the beam compares with that I'm sorry I can't be more help but it might give you some insight
  5. As the other post said you can try the Turpin or Essex Bikers which do have some ride for new big bikers and 125's I went on one this time last year and there was 10-11 125's which gave then the chance to use the marker system as well
  6. I'll let you know later in the week for sure but it'll depend on whether the other half has any plans and how my luck goes this week lol, If I do make it I'll try and keep up
  7. If you can get the battery fully charged then check it first thing in the morning that'll give you a better indication as to whether it's holding a charge, I'm thinking that as this all started after stretching the loom it's not a cert on the battery being shagged. I would take the fuse bank and check the connections as all was well until that point, sometimes it's best to think of the simple solution might be the best and for my two penneth I'd be looking at the back of the fuses to see if there's a crossed wire in that area as that was what got pulled about

    chain chatter

It sounds like your chain has worn to excess Where it's stretched it's catching on the tips of the front sprocket causing it to chatter, the other give away will be when you drop the throttle it'll start a clicking noise with the chatter In the workshop manual there's a way of measuring the wear but there are a couple of different ways as I recall Hope you can sort it but it might be due depending on the mileage and the way it's been used although the Scotoiler does prolong the life but it depends on how many miles it's been without lube
  9. Well done on your pass and now just take it easy especially with the cold setting in
  10. I'll try and make it Phi but probably won't know for sure until Friday afternoon or even Saturday morning So watch this space and if I do pop along I'll see if I can get someone else to tag along
  11. Good day folks, nice to meet you all yesterday and a nice ride even though the last bit was a bit miss judged lol. Sorry I didn't have time to get back to the final point but food rules along with everything that goes with it hehe, it'll be good to see the footage if there's any I've been non stop from getting in with trying to get a few bits sorted for tomorrow but I've got as much done as I can so the rest will have to wait Lets hope the weather holds off so we can get a few more in before the snow lol, you never know we might be able to get a few more up for it if you come north of the Thames (you never know) and I'll be able to show you some of the pretty sights of Finchingfield and the like many thanks to Phil for leading and poor Joe for moping up the rear but alls well that ends well
  12. Why does everything happen at the wrong time Is it just me Yesterday and today have been manic so I'm just finishing off a couple of things and then stuff it I'm getting the bike ready WooHooooo If you see this before you get ready glorian I'll text you in a bit to sort out the meet time and place
  13. If your open to offers I may well be able to join in, I've just got to see if plans have been made and then I can either meet in Kent or the Colchester group that will be passing by me so can hook up with Glorian & Co at the BP A12 Boreham
