    Cracked downpipes

    Thanks for the help guys
  2. This was spotted during my bikes recent service, not noticed it myself as the bike doesn't seem to be running rough or any louder than normal. Does any exhaust gas pass through that section of the downpipe? Any thoughts on the best way to fix this, is it possible to use JB weld or something similar? Its an 09 Street Triple. Cheers
  3. Do you not have any software on your PC already? Windows movie maker or if you have a mac iMovie. Both are very easy to use.
  4. This is terrible news. He was a local lad to me and I just found out about this on the Huddersfield examiner website. Rider from Brighouse and a black Kawasaki rang a few bells My deepest sympathy for his family and friends.
  5. The journey is 70 miles round trip so I was thinking of something like a Yamaha Virago? Is this a good learner bike? For a 70 mile commute I would be looking at bikes that have a full fairing or at least a screen fitted. Nothing wrong with the Virago though if you dont mind that style of bike. I'm confused re what license type I'm supposed to go for upon completion of the CBT. I'm 42 and the journey to work is mostly motorway which I appreciate cannot be done on L plates. You can go straight for the full category A licence Looking at the 2013 reforms if I put in for an A2 license does this mean I have to pass theory and practical modules on a larger bike. Do I also need to have a certain number of years riding experience behind me before I can do this? It is possible to do the A2 instead but then you are limited to 47bhp, no point, you might as well go for the full license, you will be doing the exact same test and it will cost the same amount of money. In order to get your full license you will have to do your theory/ hazard perception test, Mod 1 and Mod 2. No need for prior experience. But I would recommend a few lessons on the bike you will be taking your test on beforehand.
  6. Remove your helmets chin cover, Leave a small gap at the bottom of your visor.
  7. how do you deal with neighbours ? I dont see why it would ever be a problem unless your bike is obnoxiously loud. - would you work on your bike on the front-garden? - would you work on the bike in the STREET where a car is normally parked No, because its not a good idea to advertise you have a bike to the scum of the world. - do i really need a backgarden? You need somewhere SECURE. - does it help if you bribe or befriend neighbours as soon as you move in? - ever had the police knock your door for making noise at 1am? Again, im not sure why this would be an issue? just dont act like a nob, reving the bike for no reason, going too quick in built up areas, etc..
  8. If your helmet has a cover by your chin, take that off. It allows air to circulate better. I ride with glasses and havent had a problem since.
  9. Add to the list, anyone who takes pictures of their food or drinks on a night out, even worse when one has infiltrated the group and you end up tagged in the f**king picture
  10. This really is something special... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-YAMAHA-Y ... 25aba01f02
  11. That is a nice bike, nearly bought one myself but wasnt 100% convinced it would be reliable enough to commute on. Would be interested to know how the bike is in a couple of months.
  12. As a 7/8 year old that cutscene with the bike was the best thing in the world.
  13. I dont think there is a default rule, as far as im aware there needs to be a sign at the start of the street with the yellow lines and thats it. So if its a long street there might not be a sign near you.
  14. Reacently had a big crash wearing Furygan leathers and a Shark helmet. I can safely say both have done their job well. Its good quality kit. I have no opinion on your casual boots but they seem like they will do the job. My advice for buying boots now is stay away from anything that hold together only using velcro, one of my boots ended up coming off in the crash and these where £200 Sidi's , stick to laces or buckles.
  15. My TomTom Rider came with the ram mount kit. you can buy different ones and position them pretty much where ever you want. I found the best place was to remove the back of the clutch lever bracket and replace it with this. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31Ch4vlUDyL._SY355_.jpg
