  1. Had an 07 and it was great
  2. In the past I have only used solid steel ones. I need a new one for my new home. I have seen one in halfords, looks good and has good reviews. My concern that a large portion is plastic and my worry is that it can be smashed and made easy for thiefs, should I be away. What are people's opinion on them. Need one quick as the bike isn't secure atm
  3. Have a good long hard think about clothing. Its the difference between life and death. If you want some kevlar jeans get top end ones not £35 ones. They won't protect anything. Jacket wise get a good quality one,not a £50 j and s job because its like a coat. Rst boots are quality Get a good quality lid. If it was me I'd set £800 aside for gear.
  4. Got some myself. Good boot. Just make sure you vet the waterproof version. They are £10 extra. Can't fault them so far. Better than £200 plus smx plus.
  5. Hi guys, I'm in the market for a new lid and wind noise really bothers me. I ride without plugs as I often have earphones in. I have a lid for the motorway but want one for those Sunday rides. Although in my case its a mon-sun ride. Around town, back roads and so on. I'd also like it 4-5 stars in sharp testing. I gotta admit I'm loving the look of the hjc and agv. I just wish there was a wind noise testing place like sharp.
  6. Bike- 2001 r1 Need a new one as I must of pulled it, although I though I only pulled the boot. Anyways on eBay they come in different sizes. Which size do I need? Anything else I need?

    Redex

Put some in the bike in hope it would help it. Now it struggles to start. My dad thinks it's possible I have put too much in and flooded the spark plugs. What do you guys think.
  8. It's worth looking into headphones and not just earphones. Some head phones can fit in the helmet and offer better sound and more noise cancelling

    Bicycle

What's a good entry level bicycle. I really like the look of boardman, they have some good looking ones for £450 and I can get one for around £250 second hand, they claim its new but you never know. But if anyone can suggest me a better bike I will look into it. It's just for keeping fit, rides with the kids.

    Engine

I have removed the casing that holds the oil pump, changed the pump and bolted it back in place. My father in law says it will require sealant once removed. Is this true? Any special sealant?
  11. No but iv got 2 children I could strap to it instead I got a big camping style bag I could strap to the back. I also have some wagon straps and when it's done a ground anchor. Tie the straps around the back and pull down. I know it's only £40 for one, but that could be a nice new pair of gloves or at least a bit towards one. Only need it to take the wheels of a few times a year.
  12. The torc Doesnt charge any extra price. I've also asked about xena ones too, they only require one bolt and look nice and secure. I've also taken the comments first into consideration and emailed the company he suggested. Hopefully they come back with some options.
  13. Do you guys use front lift arm or is there something cheaper to buy or make instead? Thanks
  14. Does anyone have any suggestions for a brick wall. Ground is Tarmac so a no go.
