  1. More dodgy than Katie price reciting wedding vows...
  2. Thanks for the replies chaps... That explains a few things. I searched for 'muff' ain't even gonna tell you what came up! [emoji56] As for some of the replies, I put it on by holding the straps with face in first and try rolling it over my head. Think a helmet liner is the way to go; are these as thin as say Lycra? [emoji106]
  3. Does anyone else have this trouble? My helmet fits perfectly when sat on my fat head, it's genuinely comfy! I can't go the next size up as its too loose! However, getting the bugger on my head is a different matter! Is there some sort of black magic involved??? Every time I put it on it about rips my ears off! Soon I'm going to be looking like a retired rugby player. Anyone got any tips? No matter what I try or how I try to put it on my ears feel like they been taken apart with a cheese grater. It's like someone flicking your ear on a freezing cold day!!!!
  4. Not sure the reviews are any better for this one though, bronze84. I would be concerned with how many said that the camera was too unstable to wear on the head! Also the piece of film they showed was not too good in terms of quality! I think I prefer the RoadHawk still http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/camcorde ... y-hdr-as15 It isn't unstable if you get the correct mount for it. I've been using it on my helmet for ages. Never had any shakiness. Also, if you watched the vid on YouTube then the quality will be degraded. Watch a video review of one of em on YouTube by 'Techmoan' it's a very exhaustive review
  5. Don't rule out the Sony AS range of cams. I actually swapped my hero 3 white edition for a Sony AS30 as it has a better picture quality. Low light footage is amazing! Also has Sony Steady shot as standard too! They come in 4 flavours.... AS15, AS30, AS60 & AS100 (newest). If you don't need wifi on the cam then the AS15 is a bargain. Can be picked up for around £100. If you get the next model up (AS30) which I have then you get wifi and can control the cam with an app on your phone. I highly rate them....
  6. Evening all! Another noob question here... Ok, I'm 29 with a full UK driving license (if that makes a difference) and I'm wanting to do my direct access so I can ride without restrictions. Firstly, do I need to do a CBT before my DAS or is it combined? Secondly, for DAS I believe there is a module 1, module 2 and a theory test, am I correct? All the prices I seem to look at online say £XXX for DAS then CBT on top of that or similar Sigh... Confused.com
  7. Hi guys, not sure if this is of any interest to anyone but I went along with some friends to a track day at RAF Shawbury on 3rd Aug. I've put up a vid on youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... 2dw3lADqBc It shows onboard footage of my mate on his ZX12R. I retro fitted my car dashcam to his bike. I think they're maybe going to do another one next year as this one was a big success. It was only £50 which was reasonable and it was for charity too! Thought it may be worth looking out for...
  8. Sooo, I've been looking for my first bike and the usual suspects are springing up - SV650, Bandit, Hornet, CBR600f, ZZR600 etc. I want to spend about £1500-2k for my first bike as it'll be used to learn the trade - I won't feel as guilty when (not if, but when!) I drop it that way I will probably have to get something with slightly higher miles on it for my budget. That doesn't bother me as I'm all for maintaining the bike myself. From the list above which bike(s) would you suggest are the easiest to service and take apart? I'm a mechanical engineer by trade so I know my way around a spanner. Thanks in advance...
