  1. Do you think you’d be able to fit an R1 in it?.
  2. Petrol/Diesel new cars are to stop being made by 2030 but the ones on the road will still be fine to use for many years to come. While new cars and vans will move over to electric in that timeframe I don’t think it will happen for motorcycles or HGVs that fast l, they’re quite far behind development wise compared to cars and both have unique challenges to overcome. I’ve driven a few electric cars, I liked them and I’d be fine driving one, if not for the cost!, although when the Model 3 has depreciated a bit more I will make the switch. At the same time I like ICE cars as well and I’d favour an ICE motorbike and plan to keep one for as long as it’s viable. I couldn’t say if I’d like an electric bike without riding one but I think it would detract from the experience at the moment.
  3. On the Yamaha?, pretty consistent about 30 is the worst. Worst bike I’ve had for fuel was an RSV4, it reckoned its average was 25 the whole time!. I’m doing a track day in July so I’ll keep you posted how bad it gets on that-definately the most fun too!.
  4. Went for a nice ride down to the south coast on some good roads, also managed a personal best for fuel economy!.
  5. It's a distinctive view from the HGV diesel pumps.
  6. Bit of a tricky one given how expensive they are and what ICE cars you can get for that money, they're quieter and I think as a commuter they would be a nicer place to be compared to some ICE cars, instant torque is great and they're different to drive, acceleration is tremendous in some of them, particularly the Model S P100D, I'd honestly be very worried on my R1 up to legal motorway speeds. I was doing some agency work and delivering them on a truck, along with some very nice ICE cars so I didn't get to drive most of them that far to make a real world comparison for say a week or anything. I did drive the Model S and X properly though and the E Tron for a 45minutes-1 hour each and honestly I could live with any of them, sadly they're rather unaffordable for me though!.
  7. I have, all the Teslas-X,S,3, Audi E Tron and Jag iPace. Teslas had the best tech, performance and range but the worst interior, Audi was fast enough and had a nice interior, Jag was ok but I’d not buy one over the others.
  8. I’m still liking mine a lot, if you find a well looked after one that’s good value I’d say take a punt on it, even if it does crap itself you’ll get most of your money back. Or do the sensible thing and buy a Landcruiser, I’ve had one before and they’re great too!.
  9. Good luck with it all, starting a business is a brave but rewarding decision, I hope it goes well for you.
  10. I do feel bad for you, boilers going wrong are never good, although every cloud has a silver lining, just think, you could have bought that Range Rover you were considering and it could have crapped itself!. (Mine has been fine so far other than that prop bearing and a £100 AC pipe and regas)
  11. Take the car, the roads are pretty quiet at the moment if you need to get to work, you won’t get frozen, risk coming off on ice or getting your bike covered in road salt.
  12. Do they still have the CB500 cup?, I guess quite a few have been bought and crashed for that, as well as just age and people not wanting them anymore. Shame really, like I say I liked the one I had briefly-it was in 2012/2013. I also passed my test on one years ago too!.
  13. I feel a bit sorry for teen riders these days, my 30+ BHP 125 felt epic back in the day and smelt better . To be fair though the newer 4 stroke ones are much less likely to go bang!.
  14. I pretty much got given a CB500 that needed a bit of work back when I had an S1000RR, rode it a few times after I’d sorted it and although they’re very different bikes from different eras I honestly quite liked it, I know what I’d rather commute on!.
