  1. took it to the mechanics today. turms out someone had tried to steal the bike from the previous owner, the mechanic took the handle bars off and said someone tried to break the steering lock and they bent the metal holder for the ignition barrel, they bent it back into place and got the screw out. so it shouldnt be happening again only cost £20 to fix
  2. Hi guys. First problem with my bike today only had it 2 weeks, its a 2005 honda cbr 125 05 Was riding to halfords to grab a bike cover as im gonna be keeping it outside, i was turning into my parking space and felt something pulling and i realised the ignition barrel had sunk down so i stopped and had a proper look, the guy in halfords helped me out a bit. The key was bent (lucky it didnt snap) it turns out, there are 2 screw holes which hold up the ignition barrel in place to the metal holder, seems only 1 side was screwed in and the head of the screw snapped off. Now i can put a new screw in if i can find the right size but cant seem to be able to get my fingers in to screw it, any ideas? also how do i get the old screw out to be able to screw both sides. thanks
  3. Got myself a Honda CBR 125 over the weekend my first bike Couple of parts i need to get sorted for it, first on my list is a cockpit infill need both left and right. As you can see in the pic its missing Now i have checked ebay i cant find them or on google. The mechanic who looked at my bike said i need to check if they fit also because my fairing looks like its been changed a bit or something ? What should i do? and where can i get them? thanks alot ! http://s34.photobucket.com/user/colinzo ... t=3&page=1
  4. Just got a bike put up another thread about it. I am planning to ride it for 1-2 years
  5. haha its those damn looks on the CBR. As CG mentioned above the newer ones look much nicer, as they a lot different ? only ones i can see online and the selection for bikes in NI is pants are 2005 models.
  6. Hi guys, so as some of you may have read things have changed for me a bit and im now able to (barely lol) afford my first 125 bike So i have narrowed it down to 2 bikes which i like and are in my price range and available in Northern Ireland as there isnt a huge choice. Now im going to be riding this bike for atleast a year if not more so i need to find something im completley happy with. Some things to keep in mind are im 5 ft 10 " and around 13 stone if that makes any difference. Hyosung GT 125 R - I just love the look of this bike, the size of a 600 with the engine of a 125 roughly, looks the part and i found a real nice one in red which im interested in, now i know the mechanics and reliability of this korean bike manufacturer arent always great which is putting me off buying it as i dont want it to break down but im just in love with the look of it. Honda CBR 125 R - Whats attracting me to it is the fact that its jap, its more available than the Hyosung GT 125 R and the engine is more reliable and the build quality is generally better im lead to believe, but i dont really like the look of the bike ? its kind of putting me off after seeing the hyosung and i do care about looks but its not everything ! PLEASE HELP lol Thanks
  7. great enjoy guys hopefully ill be there next year
  8. Why does everyone feel the need to get their bike test or get their bike ready for it isnt it a professional race. Im guessing they just like to come up with a bike to join in the meet ups ect ?

  11. Hi guys, so my CBT is booked for next week, its just occurred to me after reading some stuff online do i need a specific motorcycle provisional licence? I have a Full UK driving licence of 4 years. tried to do some searching online just cant find the answer im looking for, panicing now. Live in Northern Ireland cheers

  13. Well some of your posts i didnt get to read as i went to bed last night and my interview was at 10 this morning. Funny enough i knew the girl interviewing me there was 2 of them but she didnt remember me and i didnt get a chance to say to her afterwards. She knows my mum so it could of helped so if i do get the job atleast ill know it was on my own merits. thanks for the help

  15. As an aspiring biker hopefully getting my first 125 this year, watching this has kind of made me realise a bit more of the danger side of biking and that its not all fun and games. This video was quite hard to watch and some of you might find it a little distressing. Here you go
