  1. We bought a pair of BT next intercoms for our anniversary. They are expensive but worth every penny. My hubby & I can chat as we ride along (pillion) & it's added another dimension to our trips out.
  2. We have bought a Garmin Zumo 660LM to go with our BT next intercoms. The Zumo works fine when my husband is on the bike & he can hear the directions via the intercom but when I am a pillion & also have my intercom on he can't hear the directions. I was led to believe that it should work regardless so presume it must be user error? Any ideas pls as we are going on a biking trip on Monday!
  3. Feeling that we might have to complain about our BT Next intercom set Bought it from a bike shop & they fitted it to our helmets (rider & pillion). It was great for a few rides then started to go wrong & kept switching off & on again several times then stopped working with the sat nav. Shop don't want to give us new ones. They want to sent them to be checked by manufacturers in......Italy!! Then decide to replace them or not. We have only had them about 3 weeks. (Had manager phone me). Don't think so......not fit for purpose, we can't communicate at all now with them.
  4. My fav song that reminds me of riding a bike is Born to Run by Bruce Springsdeen. When driving along in my car for work I often have it blasting out, cheers me up & reminds me of the weekends woohoo
  5. Deffo kevlar jeans. Even hubby got some as he was impressed.
  6. Trying out our new anniversary present....Zumo sat nav & linking it up with our new intercom system...my bloke doesn't half chat to me now we have got it you would think after 38 years together we would have run out of things to say lol Mind you he quite enjoys me tellin him to go faster! Well I am a pillion & enjoy the thrill ....
  7. I agree, I like this forum, nice & friendly. Get decent comments too
  8. BTx1 intercom for rider & pillion. Excellent. Can either have the unit clipped onto helmet or stuck on. Works well, clarity of voice very good. Adjusts to noise i.e volume rises to noise of wind/bike etc. Have now tried it out several times with no problems. They also do a unit that can link up with other bikes. Easy to use. Bike shop fitted it in the helmets for us. Can also use with Bluetooth sat nav & for music although we haven't tried that yet.
  9. Bruce Springdean, Bon Jovi, Eagles, Meatloaf Great for lifting the spirits
  10. We have just bought a Bluetooth intercom as we can now chat when I am a pillion. It's fab!
  11. The kevlar jeans are excellent so hubby got some too. Looking forward to using them again at the weekend when we go for a blast! Also got a great pink motorbike jacket to match my pink lid! Normally not a girly girl. Must be the effect of coming out of horses & getting my adrenalin rush on the bike, even if it as a pillion.
  12. Have a fab Honda Civic 2.2 icdi goes like the stink, use it for my work in the community. Great to drive!
  13. Just bought some Kevlar jeans this afternoon & will be trying them out tomorrow, Sunday
  14. Thanks for most useful replies. I will mostly be riding in good weather but will probably end up riding in wet weather when I get used to it. My husband suggested the jeans so will most probably go for those with waterproofs but yet to try some.
  15. Anyone South Norfolk way? We have recently moved there.
