  1. Evening all, One of my motorcycles is an Tiger 955. I have lived with the useless cockpit display for the last 10 years so I do wonder why it all of a sudden bugs me to the point of frustration; but it does... Would anyone on here know of a UK based company who could either modify an existing, or just go all out and make me a new dashboard incorporating good quality dials that you can actually read at night; possibly even go to a digital conversion. I don't mind sticking my hand in my pocket to a point, and in truth I would rather have a "proper job" if possible than screw it up myself.
  2. I agree. The arguments against proportional representation (if that's your preference) are always that it leads to an unstable government whereby too many factions, some of which rather unsavoury can get a foothold. Personally I am not even sure that is an argument against but for.
  3. The people you call daring foreigners are in reality other countries imposing laws and legislation that directly effect the UK. If you don't believe in self governance or sovereignty (which has somehow become synonymous with xenophobia) that is a perfectly reasonable position to have; it's not however superior, morally or logically to the opponents, it's just a different view. The use of cheap shaming language is what is destroying the far left, feminism and religion. It all boils down to, do what I want or I will shame you, you are racist, you are a misogynist, you have sinned, you are this, you are that... I am a libertarian so I guess I don't really have a dog in the fight but I think the smaller and more accountable we can keep the government, the better.
  4. Surely that deserves a nob of the century award...
  5. Fine looking machine you got there...
  6. I think it does (as if you didn't know ) We can remove the conservatives. If the EU doesn't collapse in on itself and we go for further integration, more laws and legislation will be forced upon us by the EU which we will be obliged to follow regardless of who we elect in the UK.
  7. Appreciated and point noted. Thanks.
  8. I cant let you get away with this... I laughed out loud. and to be honest this thread hasnt exactly been all that amusing. but this just does it. Its nobodies fault but your own if you're not paying attention... or aren't engaged with the political process. Though looking at your part in this discussion you seem to be very much engaged.. so theres something of a disconnect. You're very much against... but yet you dont know even one MEP by name. You dont know Nigel Farage? really? I think its fascinating that you don't even know the name of your own MEP either - even though the MEP local to Leicester represents UKIP. Its not like he's new to the job.. he's been doing it for 17years. Roger Helmer. Noted rape apologist. A man who is even nastier than Farage.. and so not exactly a stranger to the News. Slight misrepresentation there buddy. (I didn't write that!) and I know exactly who my local, national and European idiot's are
  9. It really comes down to whether or not you want an elected and removable government idiot or an unelected and non removable Eurocrat idiot dipping his hand in your pocket and stealing all your hard earned cash. I am out because I do not want a United States of Europe. Anyone staying in, has to realise that this is the end goal and be willing to accept it.
  10. Yeh still happens but looking like a Wednesday thing mate. 6 bikes come along last week and we went to H's Cafe Only two the week before. So far I think 3 or 4 this Wed but most are weather dependant which is fair enough.. I may be about Thursday but I'll have to see. Let me know if you are nearby and fancy a little nimble around.
  11. Don't think that happens anymore as there are organised cafe meets at H's cafe, the 1066 cafe and also the Westerham cafe on that night as far as I'm aware. I'm there often Wednesdays though with about 4/5 others which is hardly a bike meet per se but your welcome...
  12. That's a shame. What days and times would suit you (for future reference). I don't know about the others but I expect ill be in Rye until 20:00 ish and then ride around for awhile. Its my favourite time to ride; quiet, cool, still air and very little traffic from 20:00 onwards. I just need to familiarise myself with the roads!
  13. One weekday evening every week (weather dependant) I will be riding from the Cranbrook area to one of the coastal towns in Kent/Sussex with the intention to find some fish & chips. To allow everyone to ride at there own pace, there will be no set route and none of that formation riding stuff! We can meet at a start point, on route or at the destination. Next Wednesday is the first "Fish & Chip" Ride and currently I have 4 motorcyclists interested in the ride (so one may turn up) and I would like to extend the invitation to the members here. The start point is the village pond in Goudhurst and although I'm flexible with times I think its looking like a 18:30 - 19:00 start there. The destination is a fish & chip shop in the town of Rye. Interested? Get in touch...
