  1. I have not moved the dipped beam, only the high beam. is the high beam not tested? I could move it a bit higher again and a bit to the right but if its not tested then can I just leave it where it is?
  2. I have a 2002 cbr f sport. when I bought the bike I adjusted the high beam to match the low beam so that could run with both on for my bike being more visible to other road users. but now the mot is due I need to put it back, but I have no info on where the pattern should be. any ideas please.
  3. I have just been for a steady ride back from town. I was in a queue of traffic and noticed a taxi in front of me. the driver was staring at me in his side mirror. I didn't think anything of it until we pulled up at some lights, there was only 2 cars in front of me and we were all cruising at 30. The road was long and it is where I got caught speeding 3 weeks back, so i just taking it steady. as we pulled up at the lights the first car left a gap of a cars length while the taxi moved right over in to the right lane. I think he may have thought he could hamper me doing any filter manoeuvre. I ride by slowly and went in to the gap that was left. As the lights changed we all pulled off. I again took it steady and could see the first car was setting off a little slower, maybe only going 25mph. At that point when I was about 50 meters in front I saw the taxi fly by the first car and right up behind me, he stayed on my back tyre for the next 100 meters to the next set of lights, he had his arm out of the window and chewing gum. I gestured to him a few times doing a stupidity signal. ( finger round and round at the side of the helmet) the lights changed and as we were going right I waited for the cars on coming to pass before setting off, he was mouthing off in his car to which I gestured him to back off! I move away and he was caught waiting for traffic before he could move, he caught up again further down the road and again drove on my back wheel. so I pulled over and he drove by, what a complete twat! I should have pulled over straight away and let him piss some one else off but why be such a knob.
  4. did your alarm not disengage then? did it do 3 beeps when you armed it?
  5. The garage have taken the alarm off, or should I say disconnected. I still have the flashing led and system in place but its now not wired to my ignition. apparently the main unit isn't responding to the fobs. knackered I think they said.
  6. As some of you may know I have had my cbr 600 f sport for a couple of months now. Last week I had an issue where the meta 357t alarm wouldn't disarm. after 5 minutes it was ok. I put it down to the key fob and used the other one instead. all was fine until yesterday when it beeped 3x on arming. when I went to disarm it wouldn't, (with either key) I rang the garage up I bought it from and they took it away to look at. I got call yesterday to say the alarm was goosed and needed to be removed. this is not a warrantied item so they are not replacing it. so looks like I am going to end up with a bike with no alarm now
  7. my instructor told me to do it on mini roundabouts and tight junctions if I had not mastered to throttle 100%. that was just before my mod 2 a few weeks back. but it does throw the balance of the bike off.
  8. do you have any pictures of the leds in the air ducts? I have seen the audi ones on youtube but they look a bit of a trick to do. ">
  9. she has the side crash bobbins on. I suppose the bulbs being h7s I can put osram in to give a whiter more visible light?
  10. HI, I am starting a thread (hopefully in the correct section) on what parts most people would replace on their bikes as a matter of coarse. my bike has 16k and completely standard. I bought her from a bike dealer for a little bit of fall back. being my first bike I wanted some security. the bike has Pirelli super corsa pro tyres and a meta alarm system. everything else is as original. I have had it 2 weeks now and I have some niggles to sort out. the 1 light at front is a little annoying as I would have liked both on (for looks) I like the hid's for these bikes for safety reasons as well as led indicators (what's your opinions on these, and what are the best) as said above a couple of niggles, front high beam lense had condensation in it, 1 of the alarm fobs is a little temperamental (may need a new battery) and I am unsure if it ha a bit of a rattle on throttle, read some where about chain tensioner might need manual adjustment? when you let the clutch out in neutral the bike tone changes slightly and the bike vibrates a little. should I pop the bike in to the dealer to have them look at it while under warranty? thoughts are double bubble, light smoke arrow type led indicators, 35w hid's short levers? this is a new one that I have just heard about on here?
  11. whats the best way to take a tight corner? clutch in or with throttle? thanks
