  1. Thanks mate, I have a ferry booked from Plymouth and also have a eurotunnel crossing in hand. Gonna keep an eye on the weather from the week before onwards and decide then. I’ll just move the ferry crossing to another time if I don’t use it. Either way, I want to be in Barcelona by the 25th May for the MotoGP. Should be fun
  2. Finished the service, final drive oil replaced today, 180 ml as per spec. Bled the ABS system with the Motoscan app and OBD connector. Reset the service reminder with Motoscan. Was much easier than I anticipated. Tyre change booked in for a new set of PR6s. Then this in 4 weeks...
  3. I love France. On the subject of Egypt, my ex-wife and I were due to go on a holiday there but had to cancel at the last minute. We were due to fly on 12th September 2001. We went to Cornwall instead
  4. It's a glorious day when there's a new Fu Manchu single to listen to. Remember: All you need is fuzz, fuzz is all you need.
  5. I loved my Sprint 1050 and it had so much going for it, handling, exhaust sound (especially with the TOR exhaust), mpg/tank range and luggage capacity. Looked gorgeous. I just missed having a big K BMW so only kept the Sprint for a year before giving in.
  6. I go to A&E quite a lot as part of my job, when psych liaison need us to support. I've seen some sights in there over the years. As a nurse you're more likely to be assaulted in A&E by a 'regular' member of the public than on an acute psychiatric ward. I'm happier dealing with people with MH problems to be honest, I know what to expect. Glad to hear your mum got seen and treated MBF. I think it's awesome how quickly you responded, it probably saved her life.
  7. It was, they were both brilliant, considering their age. Rob Halford now looks like Uncle Albert from Only Fools and Horses but hit the high notes with ease, even during Painkiller!
  8. Off to Leeds this weekend to see Johnny Marr at the O2. Going with my son, we share a love of music and go to a lot of gigs together. Last week we saw Judas Priest & Saxon at Wembley. We’re covering all the genres
  9. Also, can’t wait to see them battle it out at Catalunya in May. Not long now
  10. The right decision overall, I don’t think Pecco intentionally forced Marquez off. Acosta is the next big thing, I’ve been following him for the past two years. What he did today on the bike he’s on is remarkable. Marquez will not win another championship, he might grab a win or two but that’s it. The competition is just too strong and he’s 31. In Wbsk he’d get away with it (look at Bautista) but not in MotoGP. Martin for the title this year.
  11. I love the HJCs, been using them for about 10 years now. They fit my head better than other brands I’ve used over the years. I’ve got a full face HJC with a black visor (think I had that one when I joined you guys on a couple of trips) and an i90 which is decent.
  12. If I was a betting man, I'd be checking out the cam chain tensioner or the valve clearances. Valve clearances are easy peasy to adjust, this might help:
  13. Pulled the bike out of hibernation, fitted a brand new battery, sparked it up and it starts first push of the button. Smiles. A bit like me, it took a short while to clear its throat after a long sleep and then it backfired which made my neighbour jump who was chatting to me. Got a big order sat in the hallway from Motorworks. Oil, fluids, spark plugs, new front brake discs, helibars and various seals and bolts. Time to get the spanners out
  14. This was my first one, a RRN model, picture taken 1998 ish. It was grey import (US), hence the different colour scheme. Did over 20k miles on that bike, it was my daily transport when I was at Uni. It was so light, easy to ride and bloody quick when you wanted it to be. I later had a 929 which was equally as good. My best mate still has his RRV which he bought a week after riding my RRN. I'd love a later one but my knees and wrists wouldn't thank me for it.
