  1. Also, can’t wait to see them battle it out at Catalunya in May. Not long now
  2. The right decision overall, I don’t think Pecco intentionally forced Marquez off. Acosta is the next big thing, I’ve been following him for the past two years. What he did today on the bike he’s on is remarkable. Marquez will not win another championship, he might grab a win or two but that’s it. The competition is just too strong and he’s 31. In Wbsk he’d get away with it (look at Bautista) but not in MotoGP. Martin for the title this year.
  3. I love the HJCs, been using them for about 10 years now. They fit my head better than other brands I’ve used over the years. I’ve got a full face HJC with a black visor (think I had that one when I joined you guys on a couple of trips) and an i90 which is decent.
  4. If I was a betting man, I'd be checking out the cam chain tensioner or the valve clearances. Valve clearances are easy peasy to adjust, this might help:
  5. Pulled the bike out of hibernation, fitted a brand new battery, sparked it up and it starts first push of the button. Smiles. A bit like me, it took a short while to clear its throat after a long sleep and then it backfired which made my neighbour jump who was chatting to me. Got a big order sat in the hallway from Motorworks. Oil, fluids, spark plugs, new front brake discs, helibars and various seals and bolts. Time to get the spanners out
  6. This was my first one, a RRN model, picture taken 1998 ish. It was grey import (US), hence the different colour scheme. Did over 20k miles on that bike, it was my daily transport when I was at Uni. It was so light, easy to ride and bloody quick when you wanted it to be. I later had a 929 which was equally as good. My best mate still has his RRV which he bought a week after riding my RRN. I'd love a later one but my knees and wrists wouldn't thank me for it.
  7. What's all this talk about centre stands? I always aim for a pump on the left, sidestand down, get off and fill up. Man alive, it can't be that hard can it?
  8. Just go with your mechanics advice and see how you feel when you take the bike out for a ride. You'll know if they work for you. If not, change them. Simple mate. For the record, I have Bridgestone T32s on my K1300S and they're superb. Rippled off the edge and I ride them hard. I've also ridden on Michelin, Avon, Pirelli, Continental and Metz over the years, I'd say probably overall say Michelin Pilot Road's are the best all rounder. Ridden in Europe on tours with them, they're amazing in the wet. I'll probably opt for PR6s on my next tyre change considering I'm off to Spain and France late May. Best tyres for handling I found were Pirelli Diablos on my Fireblade. OMG they were amazing. So confident inspiring I thought I was Rossi.
  9. I’ve used Electrex R/R and stators in the past and they’ve been great. They’re really helpful if you call them and can guide you to get it sorted . https://www.electrexworld.co.uk
  10. It's not been charging and has been running solely off the battery, hence the sudden cut out when the battery had no charge left. Check the stator, rectifier and battery as an all in one issue. This video is useful.
  11. He probably meant throttle position sensor. As you have it booked in for work anyway, let them resolve the issue and get it back in a rideable state.
  12. Happy twin birthday!
  13. Oh wow, thanks guys. I didn't do anything motorbike related but caught the train to London, went for lunch then record shopping with my 21 year old lad. I bought 2 Spear of Destiny LPs and an original pressing of Eloy's 'Ocean', a German prog rock classic. My vinyl nerd status has been elevated to 'legendary' according to my son. Turned 55 today, an age I never thought I'd reach even though I always knew I would. Thoughts of taking my NHS pension after 36 years service and reducing my hours at work are swirling around my head.
  14. This is how good it could look, like my old ST1050.
