  1. Did mine a few years ago with Harleys in East Kilbride. Brilliant guys!
  2. Aside from stepping off the bike without the side stand being down (I kicked it down but it pinged back up!), I've never fallen off *touch wood*. Had a few OH SH*T moments that have taught me plenty. Still get a fright every now and again but very infrequently, thankfully.
  3. Woah! Cracking story tho. Should've cooked your breakfast on it.
  4. I normally have Google maps in my ear but have just backed Beeline moto on kickstarter. Not shipping until February however.
  5. Don't book with HD whatever you do. From what friends have told me their servicing is extortionate! Two Wheels have always been helpful with me, but I've never had any service work done. They're right next to my work too. I've used Saltire for repair work on my Suzuki and they're not cheap but got the job done well. I'd nip over to Two Wheels for a chat. Not far from you.
  6. I've just been through a painful exercise of caliper refurb, but was mainly due to having tricky calipers to bleed, and a bike that has ABS which seemed to hold a bit of air too. My tips would be: Buy genuine seals Don't pull the pistons out, buy a piston removal tool. Seriously it's just so much easier and safer. Use the red rubber grease.
  7. I have the Q3 and only ever tried the radio by opening the app and selecting radio there. While on the subject, does anyone know if the Q3 is compatible with other non-scala bluetooth headsets?
  8. Was out yesterday after getting my bike back from the garage. Bedding in the brakes and they're slowly getting more responsive! ---- 2008 Bandit 1250
  9. Update! Collected the bike earlier and it's the best the brakes have ever been (pads are still bedding in so not super sharp yet). Lever is very firm from the first press. The garage stripped, cleaned and rebuilt the calipers with new, genuine seals, bled it all up and carried out an MOT for £131. Advised to look into a 1200 MK1 master cylinder but honestly the brakes are great now so I'm not in a hurry to change it. Happy days! ---- 2008 Bandit 1250
  10. Update! Just had a text saying the bikes ready for collection. There's a big improvement in the brakes, and it's passed its MOT! HOORAY! Will collect on Saturday and report back. ---- 2008 Bandit 1250
  11. But if they've just been rebuilt and they're still not great then they're never gonna be great (without upgrading!) I'm definitely keen to see which master cylinders I can fit that will work better, and possibly see about replacing the calipers with bigger stoppers! ---- 2008 Bandit 1250
  12. I totally agree sack of shite Seems that way! Not sure whether to pump money into a new master cylinder and possibly calipers, or just shift it for something better! ---- 2008 Bandit 1250
  13. Small update: Bike dropped off this morning and the garage are confident there's no air in the ABS system. He's stripped & rebuilt the calipers and apparently they weren't clean enough. Fired a new set of seals in for peace of mind and rebuilt. He claims the brakes are slightly better, but that Bandits with ABS tend to have spongey brakes as standard, due to the master cylinder not being large enough to push fluid such a distance. Supposedly I can fit a 1200 Bandit M/C as its larger and that will help brake feel. Also he hates the 4 pot Tokico calipers. Says they're never great even when brand new. Should be able to collect it on Saturday so will see what the final chat is then! ---- 2008 Bandit 1250
