  1. AJS are another badge of Jianshe, so look there. Other parts that may fit include Honda and Pioneer. Chinese Motorcycle Parts have AJS listed, I think the nearest to yours is the CR3. They do slip on race cans and step pipes to change diameters etc - so could be a good place to look if you want to change the style. http://www.chinesemotorcyclepartsonline ... Avs48P8HAQ
  2. Should be one down four up. Maybe a faulty gear?? Good old bikes these - started on the Japanese model many years ago. Seems they have changed little in riding characteristics. Very easy to ride though.
  3. Saw this when returning from picking up a bike near Wimborne. Lovely bike! Just my kinda thing! Might give you some inspiration anyway!
  4. Go and buy a steel tank, lead-load any dents and file down - get new paint in original or something fancy if you wish - should cost no more than £200 to complete - and you have a new looking bike again!
  5. Cripes! Used to live there...there is an internet cafe in town - if not, top of either hill. Don't kite-board from the hill-top and down the dunes as it goes through the golf course and they get really, really annoyed! Pasties from the Butcher by the crossing. Park in the square, or Budnick Road its' free and a few minutes from beach. Have fun!
  6. Watch your speed; Watch for Horseboxes by the side of the road (Cameras); Watch for cars up your rear (Unmarked - watched them do this to a scooby once. He took so much then floored it, they then nicked him!)- but most of all watch your speed....there is no ten percent in Wales! O/H and her brother both got a five year pressie from them, She was 31mph, her brother following 34mph.
  7. TBH - Not keen on the flavoured ones - If you are a smoker, you have an addictive trait, so having something else to get addicted to is not a great idea - in that I mean sweet flavours! Use a normal E-CIG and DO NOT try to give up. It ends up being a side effect, which is far more permanent than you trying to stop. Smoke normally for a week. After this, smoke as you wish - if you only have a few puffs, then go back to what you were doing, then so be it. Don't worry. Slowly you will find you are puffing less and less naturally - then, when you are only on 10 puffs a day or similar, you can play a game in reducing it. There is a really strange effect. You will be able to stand next to someone smoking, and you brain does not connect it with smoking at all. You have no cravings as you are used to 'steam' as it were with no flavour or smell. You get used to nothing, you crave nothing I guess. Been well over a year - never crave, sit next to smokers, never crave or register they are smoking other than the stench, which I cannot believe I smelt like! ALL of the people I know that have continued smoking with e-cigs all went for flavoured ones, or gave up when the coughing start in the first few weeks - this is hair standing back up on your throat (is why your taste/smell improves) previously slicked down with tar from cigs, but does tickle until you get used to it again as the e-cig has no tar. Good luck! Don't try and give up at first - do it because it costs less.
  8. Well Done! Another gun-toting, meat-eating kinda person hits the road! I gave up many guns when they banned automatic weapons, then after they took away handguns I gave up! Used to be a crack shot back in the day...mind you - with my eyes now, it wouldn't be just a pin head I would be taking out! You enjoy!
  9. Do a drop test on the sender unit. Check available power to the unit with it unplugged and the plug in to drop test. It should as it says, drop. If it stays the same the sender is faulty. Look at you battery connects and surrounding wiring. Gauges can go up or down for different things. A broken wire can make it go up or down depending on earth or live wire. Test the sender to set your mind at ease, and then start fro where you last disturbed the wiring. You haven't broken anything, better a bad wire is discovered now, than on a wet motorway trip.
  10. It's from some woman Labour MP, can't remember her name, when she was talking about getting into politics. I just thought it was a brilliant quotation. Originally came from an American George Washington Addair. He was the founder of Omega Vector which was a mixture of Spiritual Self Help Group/Church which was also registered as a Cult. He was the founder of the first Baptist church in Arizona I believe. (Mental note to self; stop watching boring documentaries late at night and go to bed earlier! lol!)
  11. Well done! I think your method of head down and get on with it one step at a time is probably the best. Ride safe, and ride for life - the 'good' habits you keep now will keep you safe in the future!
  12. Ebay recently announced that it was banning sales of confederate flags and anything associated with them due to the recent shooting in the US where dylan roof a white supremacist it would appear, massacred a church full of African Americans. A picture emerged in the press if roof holding a confederate flag which prompted he ban, followed by other merchants such as Amazon and others. But isn't it ironic, that after all the bombings over the past few years, thousands of deaths and injuries and the prevalence of people being used as human bombs in all countries by terrorist groups - you can still buy all the equipment to build one on these sites..... Doesn't seem to make sense - ban an antique flag for what it stood for, yet sell the tools for extremists to continue terrorising the innocent.
  13. Just as hard from the other side too! Much has to do with the compulsory applicants that don't want to work. That means hundred of applicants filtered through, of which 95% is crud. For example - some answers; Education; "N/A I live in the City". ????? Experience; "I watched my father buy stuff from shops as a kid" ???? There are so many more it is frightening! Plough on and you will find something. Any management experience?
  14. The guys with the air too high are on the money. More air equals more fuel - always. You just need to rebalance the mixture. Tweek up the fuel a quarter turn to start with and work your way back. If unsure mark the original position before you start a a get out of jail card. Keep going back until the symptoms reappear and then knock forward slightly. Here you will have as near as perfect mix as you can get without equipment. Normal caveats apply - if you really don't know or feel competent, don't play. There may be people on here that can do it for you. That said it isn't hard and you don't learn anything without trying something new. If you want a slightly inaccurate but easier way of proving he air flooding, then block half of the k&n to restrict flow and confirm the symptoms clear.
  15. If all of it has gone it will be related to the switch in some way. This either means a wire has become damaged or corroded - probably earth as all switches are down on that side. You can run a test earth with a piece of wire to see if this improves, if you want to be adventurous take four pieces and use a bulb or the horn if you like as the accessory, the other two to battery and see if the switch activates. It could be a broken wire, but more likely corroded which just means replacing the wires which is simple enough. If you can lay your hands on an electrical tester even better - test circuit by using the audio 'beep' function which will show that the wire is good from point a-b.
