As one of the newest big bike riders on here I can safely say that I made a very rookie and stupid mistake.. so just over a month ago I bought myself an absolutely gorgeous red and grey suzuki sfv650... on my commute home from work in Paddington I had a cyclist cut infront of an uber driver who then slammed on his brakes and me thinking I'm Valentino Rossi already (less than two weeks after picking up the new bike) pulled too hard on the front brake without chucking the throttle all the way forward so in turn had the front lock up and back wheel spin up with my pride and joy sliding beneath me... Please please please if you appreciate your motorcycle and your life as much as I do.. give yourself a very generous amount of time to learn as much as possible about your motorcycle and your on riding ability! Ride safe and don't make the same mistake as I have.. Other than that have an absolute blast!

hello all! I've dissapeared from this forum for quite a while because life happened... Since I have finally taken the hit and payed out to get my self a lovely first big bike after passing my test back in December! Would anyone be interested in meeting up for a ride this Sunday in Essex? Not bothered with how far I'd be travelling to meet up and ride.. It will be good to socialise with some likeminded bike lovers

So I did some good stuff to the bike this morning.. cleaned, wiped down all sprockets and chain to shiny new with it all greased up also checked chain play.. run hand over both tyres and took a little pressure from the rear down to 36psi. So today I enjoyed a lovely ride through the countryside without any near falls which is brilliant! Thank you all for your suggestions!

Good evening all So in some need of advice... my bike over the past week or so and as I often go for rides on the country roads I obviously lean into the corners a little and it's only of recent that my bike doesn't like it.. My riding style hasn't changed and I'm going no faster than I have been for the past few months it seems that the back end is jerking a little and it's had me nearly off a few times my tires are perfectly fine in terms of tread and pressure... It's hard to explain but I just know something is wrong on that back end... If it's of any use to have ideas on the fault my bike is a... Keeway txm125 Thanks

It really does want to go a little more when it wants to but it has a rev limiter it says in the manual.. It just bugs me as I find it quite dangerous going down the a12 any kind of incline in the road slows it right down! But yet on a good day it can maintain its top speed up the hills...

Ok so I have a keeway txm 125 and it does the job it gets me to wherever I need without fail. But I have noticed for a while now that one day it will happily hit 67mph and want to do more but it's restricted. But some days it decides it wants to be really sluggish and top out at about 58 so uphill on a roads can go down to a ridiculous 45 mph. It seems to be completely random days that it does it. It will do it maybe once a week sometimes twice but I was wondering what on earth it could be? Just temperamental chinese junk or just a genuine fault? Thanks all

I am an incredibly lucky sod that I get to ride my bike everyday... Rain or sleet or snow! But genuinely I am fine with it. It's all experience I am gaining for when I take my test but no matter what I wrap myself up in I am still getting ridiculously COLD! Just a brief overview for you all.. I wear long John's, thermal socks, goretex boots, tracksuit bottoms, rst alpha 3 thermal trousers, a vest, a top, a tracksuit jumper, voice jeans coat, rst alpha 3 jacket, leather gloves and then my rst paragon 2 gloves over them! Am I the only one to experience borderline pneumonia everytime I ride the bike in this weather or am I just buying crappy motorcycle gear?

The way the cage drivers are going I should statistically be dead 3 times by then so could it be any sooner?

What did one traffic light say to the other? Don't look I'm changing.

I'm in dartford but am over in dagenham more often than I am here need to find someone for just casual rides I love it!
