  1. Hey guys anyone know if slr650 shock will fit nx650 Dominator or any other that will, looking for easy lowering (1999 Dommie)
  2. Crankcase halves don't have gaskets due to machined clearances. Manufactures recommended sealant is best or red Hermetite if hard setting recommended, silver if non setting recommended. Never use silicone sealant on wet casings it should only be used to keep water out not oil in eg ignition or electrical covers.
  3. If casings have gaskets just replace- never ever use instant gasket, just smear gasket with touch of grease. Setting Silicone sealant is for dry casings only, usually the only wet casings with no gasket are crank cases, use red. Not just a question of leaks but more importantly clearances- especially cam lobes or followers.
  4. Heard about Willingham not tried it yet, what night? might give it a try in spring- Cheers.
  5. Cheers- Old boy who owned it died, his missus and daughter ran it till it sold at auction. Did go Bluebell in Sproatley on Thursdays after that, not bad about 30-35 bikes one week but it was end of season so didn't last long. Amazes me Catfoss Café meet still advertised in MCN every week couple yrs after it stopped
  6. Anyone know whats goin on at Warley? Didn't miss a week this year until it shut for refurb, did bike nights restart? Will they be on again next year? Me and my lad go up Seaways on Sundays unless Olivers Mount on or A big meeting at Cadwell, bike shows at Squires sometimes as well but I prefer weeknight meets. Occasionally go haven arms- Hedon but bit quiet and a crap ride through pothole city (Hull). As well as Warley any other ideas for night meets next year.
  7. My ZZR600e6- similar problem twice for 2 diff reasons. 1- kill switch notorious problem on these bikes, split switch gear spray with contact cleaner and leave to dry, don't have to disassemble totally spray works its way in and evaporates 'WD40 electric contact spray worked for me. 2- same occurred year later battery terminals wire brushed and greased cured it. Good tip when testing charge circuit test battery terminals and test battery posts and between + and engine, frame and starter body. ZZR's notorious for kill switch- rare as rockin horse shit, tried e-bay for ages, no chance. Luck Matey
  8. Had same problem zzr600, after 2 weeks trying traced it to kill switch, took it off sprayed all inside with electrical contact cleaner after leaving to dry for 30 min put it back on. Had no problem since and it cheap if it doesn't work so worth a try. Tim
