  1. Passed Mod 2 with one minor, I was on a different bike than I had spent two days training on, the clutch was barely working and I made the choice to swap the bike out, I was confident but I messed up the first manover by stalling, I had not done it since I started training and was really annoyed with myself. I also forgot that I was leading during the independant riding and was waiting to be told where to go, luckily I don't think he noticed lol. I was sure I failed for the stall but it turned out to be a minor and he was happy. Let's Ride were brilliant throughout my training and could not speak highly enough of them Now I just need to find an affordable 600cc I was looking at the Superbike factory as they do bikes on crappy credit!
  2. Passed Mod 1 with 0 faults, was a lot easier than I thought. Spent the day training in Wimborne with Lets Ride, they are a great company far better than the company I did my CBT with. Spent the day training before my test at 1330, it was raining heavy all day and I cooked the rear brake and it stopped working altogether the instructions for doing the figure 8 were a bit odd to me we were told the test centre was on a slight hill so we would need to keep the revs up.. this made little sense to me as I was revving to around 4k riding the clutch and using the rear brake constantly. I was struggling with the swerve too hit the cones almost all the time but managed the last 2 apparently I was still too close to them.. When we got to the test centre I was the first of 4 riders to go through it, I didnt really notice that there was a hill and pretty much did it on the clutch with a small amount of gas. I got 59kph on the emergency stop and 56 on the swerve. Passed with no minors the examiner said it was lucky I released the throttle on the swerve as he was getting ready to scoop me up! All in all a good day, the test seemed a bit more mind over matter

    CBR125 2004 Problem

All fixed, turns out I neglected the chain and it was that causing the problem, came at a good time in a way as I had to replace the rear tyre sent it into my local shop and it ended up costing me £195 I had the chain and two new sprockets
  6. Had the same problem with mine, it was a carb issue I had to take it apart a couple of times give it all a good clean, the jets kept getting blocked. also the spring bit at the top was stuck so I took that apart and cleaned it up runs perfect now

    CBR125 2004 Problem

Good morning, Sorry its been so long since posting you would guys would not believe the poor run of luck I am having right now! Enjoying my bike and I have decided to try and find a cheap 600cc to take my test on Anyway I have another problem with my bike I think it might be gear box related but not 100%, when I am on the throttle it will sporadically make a metallic "ting" it will do it a few times then fly off like it should.. also if I open the throttle and then shut it, you can hear and feel things moving around from what sounds like the gear box. Before I take it off and get cold hands am I looking in the right place? thanks
  9. Hi guys, I am after a new helmet mine is annoying I currently have a Leopard LEO-839 its really noisy when going above 30 and I would like to be able to remove the visor so I can clean it and put wax etc... I am on a tight budget because I have a 9 month old girl and another baby due in 3 weeks !! Anyone know of anything good I could buy? Thanks Ads

    CBR125 2004 Problem

I wouldnt go that far, head gasket went on my Impreza.. This is becoming more of a project thread! I have decided to do a bit more tinkering and replace the sprockets and chain, is there any difference in what they do, as I see on fleabay there are ones that are "performance" etc. I have noticed recently in 6th gear my bike slows down, is this common for the cbr125? Thanks again

    CBR125 2004 Problem

Success, the dodgy running is sorted and it starts fine to the pin out of the carb and gave it all a clean, i guess it was getting stuck! But.... again 1 solved 1 appears.. its now running at 4k revs on idle, 7 with the choke open
