  1. ok well ive rebuilt the calipers after one of the seals had come displaced and wedged between the caliper and the piston, I have re-installed the calipers to the bike and re-bled the brake system, i now have pressure in the lever but it's only about 50%, any ideas?
  2. I was pretty sure there was a problem in the system somewhere and I was right, I spilt the NSF caliper to find one of the upper dust seals had worked it's way half out past the piston jamming it completely so it's rebuilt now ready to refit and re attempt bleeding
  3. there is definately fluid passing through the whole system because it bleeds perfectly, it just wont pressurise
  4. yeah its a strange and very frustating thing this! ive pressure bled it from the top, vacuum bled it from the bleed nipples, manually bled it from the nipples and also reverse bled it with a syringe and its hasnt made jot difference!
  5. i have mate, honestly it just doesnt work, ive been bleeding the system for two days solid now, i did it with the calipers off then it gained a tiny bit of pressure but it simply doesnt get better, there has got to be a problem with this braking system somewhere because its abnormal to be this troublesome, im gonna scrap this sodding bike soon, getting rather fed up of it now
  6. still no luck, infact reverse bleeding it has actually lost the tiny bit of pressure i had altogether! its worse now
  7. yes i have it was in a bottle of fluid, im trying the reverse bleeding techniqe now again to see if i have any luck
  8. when i am bleeding now the system is sucking the fluid back in, so when i pump the lever a tiny bit comes out but it just bounces and back and forth and goes straight back in through the bleed nipple into the caliper, its now doing it on both calipers
  9. how would i do that please? i have tried using a pressure bleeder but again it doesnt seem to work
  10. right been doing that for a while now and its just not getting any better, i have done the banjo bolt bleed on the master cylinder too! it just wont give me any pressure still, i would say its about 5% out of 100 atm!
  11. right, been doing that now for a little whil;e and there is a tiny and i mean tiny bit of pressure in the lever now, do you think carrying on might solve this?
  12. thanks again! I'll give it a go now and update shortly!
  13. when i remove the calipers do they need holding high or about their normal height? also is it best to position the caliper in a way that the bleed nipple becomes the highest point of the caliper?

    help please!

hi guys, im new here and was wondering if anybody could possibly shed some light on an issue thats been driving me crazy for weeks with no result! Basically i have got a gsxr srad 600 2000 model, it has got four pot front TOKIKO calipers with hel braided lines, both brake lines go to the master from each side of the front wheel. I have been struggling for weeks with no pressure at all in the brake lever , i have bled the brakes time and time again with no result, i have rebuilt both calipers, new pistons, seals, bleed nipples etc, still no result, i then changed the brake lines to hel braided with new banjo bolts, again no result, i rebuilt the master cylinder with a repair kit, still no preDKLGKssure, i have now just fitted a newer master cylinder off a 2010 gsxr 600 and again the system bleeds fine, but i just cant get any pressure at all in the lever , i have read various forums, and watched various youtube videos but it just wont work! please can somebody advise me if its something im doing wrong here??
