  1. 3rd time appears to be the charm for me, 1st test I failed for doing 70 in a 50mph zone, second test I failed for doing 70mph in a 50 zone on the very same strech of road (Perhaps one of the stupidest things I've ever done) Both tests with no minors just the 1 major Today there was no way in hell I was going to do 70 on that part of the road again (The A1) Wore the same top as I passed on Mod 1, previous two tests I saw 1 Magpie on the way at the same spot, Today there were two sat there (1 for sorror two for joy). Went on the A1 twice kept my speed and distance good and i passed No minors again Just insured my ZX6R went to the gov website for the tax and the insurance does not update automatically either 24 or 48 hours, so I have to wait until tomorrow until I can get to the post office for the tax Instructor went off with another pupil after the test and told me to ride back on my own once I had calmed down a bit. 12 Miles with a massive grin on my face riding back. Going to find it hard to sleep tonight waiting to get out on the bike tomorrow. Thanks again for all the advice and other peoples test experince it's been a great help.
  2. Went for Mod 2 Today All previous lessons fine, no re-occurring issues with speed, observations, signals or handling. Wasn't nervous, a little trepidation but more than happy that I know enough on handling the bike, manoeuvres and riding confidently in general. Got to the test centre met the examiner Alan. Took my docs asked a few questions on the show me tell me. all good Off we went on the roads few pull over and off again and a take away from a angled start Still all good. We then start independent riding and we're heading up the A1 ant the rain really lets loose, A1 really busy at this point, got into the correct middle lane following the road going at between 40 and 50mph with speed limit signs showing Max 50mph. Road has opened up now, plenty space in front and to the right and left, can no longer see 50mph signs and the gap in front is huge so I stupidly presumed the speed was 70mph as it was the last time I was on that stretch of road (Over a year ago) Back at the test centre informed I had failed (70 in a 50mph zone) the only fault marked on the test. One silly mistake of my own doing should have paid more attention to the signs (Tough at that speed in that rain) Alan was spot on and I think he guided me very well and could have marked me up for a few other things I thought had gone a bit wrong. Gutted test booked for a months time. Got my self 8 cans of Koppaberg and a big bottle of Morgans spiced and it's already starting to make me feel a bit better Thanks for others experience placed here found it very informative to read through before todays test
