Unfortunately we didnt get to do our lake district and wales trips this year due to the bad weather but here are the rest of the pics we did manage to get. Thanks as always to the organisers for their hard work sorting this out every year and well done to everybody who took part. Merry Christmas to all. east and west midlands -

My street triple did this, a new battery fixed it. Even though the battery tested fine, it didn't have enough power to crank the starter motor fast enough to start the bike. My battery was 5 years old though. I think some triumphs have weak starter motors that get high resistance when they're hot which was causing my problem. £35 for a new battery was the first and cheapest option. What actually happens when you press the starter?

Tips on keeping your visor clean
whitedevil replied to trcooke's topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
fairy liquid or furniture polish to buff your visor with helps rain and dirt bead off easier. You can also get things that fit on your glove finger to clean your visor, or buy gloves with intergrated wipers on, Or you can fit something to your bars to use to wipe your visor clean. -
I had a similar dilemma last year and after riding both str675 and mt-09sp on test rides a few times i chose the street. The MT09 was a nice bike but you need the sp version to get half desent suspension which adds more cost to it plus the street has better build quality and i found it nicer to ride. The mt09 does have a nice upright seating position though. If you can afford it the 765 is even better than the 675 but i just couldnt afford it.

Arai Axcess II visor fogging

Probably not fitting right, if there is any gap around the seal it wont work properly. -
Ive got one of those gel seat topper things that straps to the top of your seat. I didnt like it, you dont feel connected to the bike its like you're sitting on a water bed. Im in the process of buying a spare seat base to build a custom gel seat with it which should be a lot better. Just looked at those airhawks HOWMUCH!!! just for some oversized bubblewrap, i think it would have the same problem with not feeling connected to the bike as you would be sitting on a cushion of air bobbing around. Might be alright if you just plod around on a cruiser though.
