I'll certainly be there, not sure of a day yet. Hoping to see a Honda CRF250 Rally or KTM 390 Adventure or Royal Enfield Himalayan in the flesh... afterwards I'll be hunting unicorns and jumping 30 London buses on a Chinese 125.

I am thinking of going this year. Needing some new kit and cannot find anything I like that fits locally. Also, if I get my test out the way before then I might use it to test ride some big bikes :-)

Don't know yet, I usually head over there with Bonniebird and Tango but no plans in place yet this year. Think we've done a Friday the last few times? I'm sure that I'll post an update nearer the time. 100% going, though - I need to scout out a replacement for the BMW

I'm looking for a pair of custom fit earplugs and maybe a pair of boots.

I ordered my custom earplugs from Ultimate Hearing at the last NEC show. I find they are the only effective plugs for the weird internal shape of my lugholes.

I will be going this year as usual - but unsure of day/date.

Cool, was looking at their website. Can I ask: how much were they, and were they ready to take away on the same day as the moulds were taken?

I think they were £65 - I had just the base model. They only take the moulds at the show - they post the plugs a couple of weeks later as they are mad in their factory.

When they take the mould keep your head still and do not flex your jaw.

  • 1 month later...
Pretty sure I don't have any holiday days going spare, so I think I'm going to have to brave the weekend crowds :|

Don't do it man!

I'm probably not gonna go to either this or the london show in feb, was rather underwhelmed last time and for the cost and hassle. Not even any good gear about i feel a lot of it is cheap crud that resembles a chinese bike (looks great falls apart a short while later)

If it's any consolation, my BMW is made in Italy with an Austrian engine. Funny how everything except the engine goes wrong all the time, isn't it?

I have a genuine interest in some of the Chinese stuff that shows up at Motorcycle Live; having been stung once I'd be unlikely to risk it again, but I find WK to be very interesting. They seem to be doing a pretty good job, all in all - I know that Fred has had an entirely positive experience so far. The WK Trail 400 looks like it could be a really quite nice bike if you swapped out the Chinese rubber, the adventure class could really do with more lightweight 400s.

Of course, if KTM can bring out an Adventure 390 then I'm sold

WK seem to be bringing some nice bikes, the naked 600 and the pan american lookie likey are so cheap and look to be getting good reviews.

The training school i used have got a couple for instructors to test out.
