if it has never been registered in the uk you will need some details from an owners club or similar to confirm the age so you can get age related plate and not have it subjected to msva rules and current regs regarding construction apart from that i had never heard of them let alone seen an owners club or anything but i would imagine there is one somewhere

Hello,

now I try it a second time to give you some information. Since 4 years I own a Follis M60 and it is nearly impossible to find parts in France or Germany, except the engine. My bike was owned by a friend for over 20 years before he died and he had the same problems, so that he didn't start the restauration The bike was built in Lyon and you can find a copy from a sale brochure with google "Follis M60" and then have a look to the pictures (or direct by cybermotorcycle). I had found the offer of this bike and thought about to buy it, because my frame has some critical areas. I didn't bought, because someone has changed in some areas (for example rear frame welded tube, to close the open tubes) and the distance.

In case of the engine you will find in Germany the "ig-jlo-twin.eu" (german club). Have a look to the homepage, there you could find more informations. Sorry, only german language. It's a club special for the engine, which was built by JLO in Pinneberg (Type M 2x125, 244cm³, 15,1 PS 6000 rpm....). You can write ILO too. Here you can find all the inforrmations from spare part list, maintenance, spares but in your case no tinwork or frame parts. Over 30 manufactures used this engine (German, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden and a few in Austria and Switzerland. I'm active in this club (archive and three times a year a Club mag). If you give your mail dress, I could send you some pictures from my bike and some lists.

OK, if want to try your luck to find spares in France try a search by "leboncoin.fr" .

Best regards from Germany

Hans

P.S. Do you know a good Ariel Square Four MKI 1949-1952, because I want to buy one.
