  1. Wow she's a beaut! Very nice. Thanks for the advice. It's just the rust, I don't want it setting in, and when I got to the bike meets it magnifies itself I swear!! Will see what I can get quotes and see what the quality is like. I'm aware of a few suppliers of the decals and can get them in and fitted well. But paint I simply can not do myself.. I did try once with another bike! Thanks again.
  2. All, I'm after having my tank and front and rear fenders, cleaned up and resprayed in the original colours. I live in Norfolk and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of anyone around East Anglia who would be good good to go to and have this work done. Most body shops seem to be geared at cars and I want the bike to be looked after by a person who normally does bikes, 80s bikes would be a bonus!! The reason for it is that it's gathering rust spots on the bottom of the tank and underside of the. Fenders. I'm hoping having it treated, cleaned and resprayed will give it many more years and will cure my OCD with the paintwork not being spot on. Any recommendations greatly appreciated All the best Burgess118
  3. So chuffed with my newest addition a 1984 Kawasaki GT750. Can't wait to get it from the courier's today!! Anyone had one? The new horse
  4. Any more details, I'm quite keen. Where do you tend to head? How many people go on average? Are they still happening?
  5. I often go to the Reepham and Whitwell meets on Friday evenings during warmer weather, beer, burgers and bikes all there. I live in Diss, not sure if there are many meets, but I'm gonna keep watch of this thread, hopefully there are some closer by!
  6. Anyone... Also quick q - anyone knows what the usual turnout is? Last time I was blessed with only 12 other bikes on the track!
  7. Anyone else pay the bargain 45 quid for the evening session?
  8. How did you find today? Was it busy? The rain just about kept away.
  9. .........WOW.......... That was ruddy fantastic. I got there and there was 10 of us on a variety of bikes. Mine was the only non sports bike (fazer). But nothing came past, and boy did the fazer love a good thrashing and following a smooth line! If there is a bug, I've certainly got symptoms! Couldn't stop smiling. Have to say these events certainly a good welcome to track days. Went from cracking it just before heading out to lapping it up on the last lap. On the Bentley straight I believe I hit the fazers limiter at 135 ish. Oh wow, better than a shag was that! Where do I sign up for a lifetime of track life!
  10. I've been told about the 'track-bug'.. we shall see. Very much looking forward to it.
  11. Anyone else going. I'm quite looking forward to it, twenty five quid for 25 minute track time. Not a bad way to find out what all the track malarkee is all about
  12. Thanks for the responde all. Have to say "my friend" is guilty of speeding on a regular occasions and on particular roads at particular times and conditions, going above and beyond. It's nice to do and is part of the freedom of bikes. However I think the solution for my friend will be to get a track bike and do over a ton on that appose to the public highways, for many reasons. The consequences now of being caught over a ton, or causing an accident are so high. job on the line, licence on the line... Can have such an impact. The scaremongering has got to me! Shame though as nearly every biker I've been out with, including instructors, Police friends etc all do the same, almost like an unwritten rule... Aw it's ok. A bike can be fun without doing a ton plus. I used to have so much fun ragging the shit out of my 125, and now with the Fazer, if I rag the shit out of it, well matter of time before licence goes.... And I do pick my moments with speed, like many of you, but you know what it's like cameras everywhere unmarked traffic officers cars/bikes.
  13. Seen this a few months back on MCN. Just thought I'd check the forum results.
  14. bought the K3 today. I had a AGV stealth but the visor unclipped on one side when risame s (its 4 years old now). I pulled over with my friends and it was apparent one of the plastic fastening bits had snapped.. not sure how. Anyway... Luckily close by was Infinity the only bike shop in Norwich open on a Sunday. The replacement Visor was out of stock, and would take a few days to order in... Costing 55 quid..1). No thanks I said. (seen them on eBay for 20) So I could either ride around with no visor home/on the rest of the trip or buy a cheap helmet... Started to look cheapest they had was a HJC 50 quid, but wasn't keen. My friend had the AGV K3 he liked it... 99 quid.. go on then.. I was told we should replace the helmets after 5 years.. was getting close.. could use it as a spare. Can't go home on such a nice day, the lads don't get together often... All that stuff started to come up... Basically I was justifying buying one. Bought the thing and off we went, with the old helmet strapped to the bike visorless. Well.. Firstly the helmet was uncomfortable a little more tighter round the ears..was the same size as the AVG stealth i had. I was told itll give. It was only after the ride I noticed this being tighter. Secondly the noise... Jesus Christ it's like permantly listening to one of them bands called 'rape my bum 666' on full volume. Wind noise galore. Thirdly big fan of the double d. Didn't have this on the k3. Fourthly it feels a lot heavier All in all I've ordered a 20 quid visor, from Mr visor for my stealth. The K3 will be a spare or im pondering on ebay. Or maybe give it a little longer and see what I think. It made me appriciate helmets... Good ones! Honestly stealth or other good versions worth the bit extra. Sorry to nag... More annoyed with myself for spending 99 quid on something I don't like. On the plus side, it looks nice and I'm sure meets the same standard of saving your life as with any AVG. But grr noise!
  15. Yes, I had a 2008 YBR, up unroll early last year when I got my Fazer600. I ran it for miles and miles, but towards the end (before I sold it back to the guys I bought it off) I noticed every so often, the bike would just cut out and roll, and after stopping kick back into action. Was really annoying but luckily didn't have to put up with it for long. What exactly is happening to yours?
