60 or 70mph in 3rd 4th....is that is road racing mode....I am never in any hurry....my bike will pull in 4th from low 30s

In general are motorbike gear boxes a bit noisy in some gears.... Noticed that my 2020 water-cooled T100 Bonneville is nosier on 3rd and 4th gear....in 5th its quite. Only recently noticed but its quite likely its been like that and I have not noticed before.

Sorry but train drivers are waaaaaaayyyyyy way over paid.....its mostly automated.....£70 pa......my god.....they dont even have to steer the thing..... My god they dont even have to fuel the thing up.....turn up for work.....climb in the cab....press a button....push a lever when you get a green light. I know lots will say but all that responsibility other take that for the driver.....signal operator's ect......sorry dont wash.....a Nurse is lucky to earn £25k.... For gods sake.....they dont even need to know what route to take. Rail workers need taking down a peg or 2 inc net work rail....all out of control.....I used to be able to afford to go on a train once to London.....my god how expensive that is.....wish I still could.

Heads up for the Barton Airfield biker night very well attended......every Monday at the airfield..cafe bugger bar. On the A57 near Irlam. from approx. 6pm onwards.

My pal fitted a screen to his bike.....makes the nowise wayyyyyy worse.....for some reason....maybe turbulent air.... I sewed neoprene pads into may helmet in the part covering my ears cut from an old wet suit.....very happy with the results.

Hard to say from you description....I am wondering if the clutch is slipping....odd you say you use 6th gear now more than ever.....usualy if the engine is loosing a lot of power you would really struggle to use 6th. Does it sound like the engine RPM is racing but the bike is going no faster???? The wrong engine oil can bugger a clutch leading to it slipping....was it motor cycle oil or general car engine oil????? What part of the country are you.

Salted the roads again.....so no biking for me till we have had plenty rain.....not a spot of ICE ANYWHERE.

I always expect the car waiting at the junction to pull out in front of me.....slowing down is ness.....hand always on the brake ready. Anybody around me is going to try and kill me at any time. Ride defectively at all times....boring yes I know.....so is being dead.
