  1. Well... having a gps link up to a smartphone to use its gps and internet... and hook it into google maps. But I would like to try it out though!
  2. Labelled as Waterproof touring boots; PU-coated, vulcanised anti-slip rubber sole. Built in PU Shin, ankle and heel protection, moulded anti-twist mid sole, gear change toe pad, heavy duty zip and Velcro closure. My issue: I was a complete idiot and brought a size up thinking that I'd need to go a size up. I'm a 6 1/2 in trainers and I thought for boots, I'd need to go up a size. It seems that the sizing seems to be right. Pros: Very secure fit, you can't really move your feet in them, very warm without getting majorly sweaty feet either. I'd guess for other people; they'd be lightweight but I have muscle weakness so they feel pretty weighty. They're not tight around the toes which I usually find in boots. Cons: I have some baby bird ankles so for me, the moulding around the ankle digs in a bit when I'm walking. The shin guards I find mean I can't close the zip up properly. Over review: I think these are brilliant boots for a beginner, Very secure fit [although taking them off is a pain in the ass!] The Velcro closure makes up for the fact I can't do them up properly and despite my best testing methods [i put the boots through hell before I do any review] they don't budge or turn on your feet. Walking in a pain in the ass for me because they feel heavy to me. I've hiked in these boots and other than having to clean off the mud off the boots, they stand up to the abuse beautifully. It took me bashing them about for a week straight before any scruff marks came up. The rubber sole gives a secure grip to the road even with oil, petrol or diesel on the road/pavement even when picking up the bike off the road! I paid £80 for these from the Bike Stop in Stevenage. Other than me f**king up on the sizing, I don't regret buying them at all.
  3. Hey guys. ^.^ As you lot know, I got my bike recently [OMG so much funnnnn] and I'm finding an issue... Under 30, I ride with the visor up... however... once once I put it down.. my glasses fog up something evil! I got a pinlock for my visor so no fogging there but my glasses are making it just as bad if not worse! T.T Any suggestions?
  4. I may not be able to make it... I live right near London and the week i get my bike... i won't have a lot of petrol money to do long journeys... T.T
  5. Can i have the reg number of 224? I'll be starting this pretty soon~
  6. I'm gonna agree with eastanglianbiker. Part number into google, should give you a better idea if those parts are what you've been told.
  7. Hey folks! *waves* As I'm sure some of you are aware, I'm getting my first bike which *drum roll* is a cruiser. I've been in love with them.. since FOREVER. Most of my family had ridden them [albeit we don't talk, another topic] so I've been stuck on my own looking around the web on suggestions on how to handle a cruiser around corners. My bike DOES have footboards and I've been reading that they'll end up ending replacing prreeetttyyy often. Another place mentions... counter steering [??? wtf] and leaning [i know that! <3] Wind resistance at speeds.... crappy turning angle due to wide wheel base...needless to say.. I fried my brain trying to understand it all... so.. any help would be welcome! [vids welcome too <3 ]
  8. And if anyone is worried about picking up a dropped bike, meet my friend Skert. A lady who can pick up 1200cc from the ground ON HER OWN ;p and no she does not body build. LINKS [sorry for crappy vids its all she has] http://www.pinkribbonrides.com/dropped.html < she has videos on her site for how to pick up a dropped bike <3
  9. Jackets don't fit across my built-in air bags and when I go bigger to accommodate the built-in airbag system then i end up with it super baggy around my middle and I can use the sleeves as puppets to amuse the local kids. I do have some hip to me frame... but my jacket keeps riding up when I'm just sat still. Its pretty irritating. Clothing wise... if it wasnt the built-in airbags.. i would be a 14. However... due to the mold i was cast from... i'm having to wear 18-20 tops. I've hunted through all the shops my end, going to Stevenage, St. Albans, Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City. Today I managed to fit a... okay-ish jacket. Viper Unisex, riding up issue is still present but its not as bad. I seem destined to wear ill fitting jackets.
  10. I live within walking distance of where i have to go lol, so its fine for me. I'm only using the bike for pleasure runs ;p I would ride more... but I'm still wary since the drivers my way seem to think that person with L plates means you have to crawl up their ass. Grumble. So if anyone wants to ride out with meee ;p *coughHintcough*
  11. Hey... I'm having a bit of an issue with getting a jacket that fits me properly. I'm jump straight in and state that I'm female... so I'm pretty sure evvveerrryyyyooonnneee can guess what my issue is. I'm not as big in the hip either... and adjustable jackets make a tiny bit of difference... but i still find the fit is... poor and jacket rides up with just me moving around normally! T.T Suggestions? Or is anyone handy with a sewing machine and knows how to take in a jacket properly?
  12. I'd come.. but i would have only had my bike for 4 days and i'd still be breaking in the engine. Much sad T.T
