  1. So this arrived today, and first impressions I'm very impressed with it. Topped up the bike tyres, and checked the 4 car tyres - one was a bit low. The battery indicator has gone done 1 stop (of 3 levels). I'm a bit dubious about how it will last long term, especially the battery, but we'll see..
  2. I've ordered this one - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BRGSNDVY I wouldn't use AliExpress - it gets shipped directly from China. I'm not sure were that leaves you in terms of warranty if it becomes faulty, or arrives faulty.
  3. Cheers - I never thought about a USB rechargeable option.
  4. Hi All, After being a bit lazy checking my tyre pressures (on the bike and car), and getting a flat after a slow puncture I think it's time I bought a tyre inflator that can plug into the mains. I know there are plenty online and in Halfords. Can anyone recommend one that they use? Thanks!
  5. I've been to Gran Canaria a few times, and would highly recommend it for the roads and views. Just be careful with the speed - Spain has an agreement to chase speeding tickets for UK residents. I had a speeding ticket from Tenerife, not Gran Canaria, but you have be careful in both. 6. I think any time there's a (semi) "recession" there will always be people who carry on spending as they were, or even spend more because they need a break from life. The number of new bikes that I see all the time sort of proves it - but it could be the older generation Bikes are relatively cheap for the enjoyment you get out of them - that's what I tell myself
  7. Thanks mate. I got a new Kwak 1000SX last Sep, and was going to keep both bikes. But the reality is that I'll hardly ever ride the 650F and I could do with money too.. (for day trips :))
  8. Thanks for your replies guys - I put it on AutoTrader last night. Never thought about checking Ebay, MCN and the bikemarket. I've held onto it for 2 months as I'm no rush to sell it (as long as it goes by 4 weeks or so ), and think I might get a better price this time of year.
  9. I'm selling my trusty Honda CBR650F. Details are below. I was thinking of putting it up for £4300 - is this price too low, should I put it for more? (I've never sold a motorbike before) Full Service History. 1 Owner Major Service (Shim Service) carried out 10/2022 - next service due 10/23 I've had this from new and it's never let me down. Some minor damage from stationary fall (u-turn on a hill..), plus minor paintwork damage from using ABBA stand Comes with two keys, and original manual Includes service book, and all service documentation from new Cleaned and maintained regularly. ACF50 applied twice a year Date of first registration - 01/08/2016 Mileage - 15696 MOT expires 07/2023 Taxed till 07/2023
  10. Thanks for the advice. So it looks like better to meet at my house, not offer test rides (unless deposit or wife has been left :)). I'll probably got with Autotrader. One thing just occurred to me - is it better to wait until April/May when the weather is better, and more people are looking at getting bikes? I don't mind holding onto it for a few months if I can get a few hundred £ more. Also, the MOT and Service aren't due till about July.
  11. Hi, I've bought a Kwak 1000SX and am now selling my Honda CBR650F. I'm looking for advice on the best way to sell it. A few things I need help with: 1. Where to sell - Autotrader? 2. Where to meet potential buyers - I've read they some could be scouting for bike to steal. Optionally meet them at a car park - though this does appear dodgy from their side 3. Payment - is cash better than bank transfer? 4. Anything else I should be aware of? TIA
  12. +1 for Sutton (Tamworth and Bromsgrove) - they do a great job
  13. You might be right Yorky - I'm getting a bit carried away. I'm staying at B&Bs too, and just me.. I haven't put a packing list together yet but it's something like: large camera bag, small camera bag, tripods x 2, laptop, bike overnight cover, a few t-shirts, jeans, socks, pants. Plus gopro, insta360 adapters, chargers. Also, spare gloves, and maybe jacket inner.
  14. I had a look at the measurements for a Lomo 60L Dry Bag Holdall. As it's 78cm long it would fit but goes right to the edge of both panniers. I was wondering - how would I fit the rok straps. As indicated here in green?
  15. So I'm about to buy a lomo bag soon and was wondering if I should get a smaller one and strap it like this, or get a bigger one and strap it as in the 2nd photo. (I'd put the standard pillion seat back on of course..)
