  1. I was riding home in London and was going through the usual set of traffic lights, so it was constant stop start stop start... after 20 minutes of riding I tried to accelerate from a traffic light and the engine became really weak and instead of accelerating fast like it usually does, it done a stumbled acceleration. Then all of a sudden the engine became really weak and every time I tried to accelerate from traffic lights, I would pull the throttle all the way but it would hardly accelerate.. it would stumble and the bike would only go at low speed. Eventually it pretty much came to a stop so I turned the engine off and turned it back on, and it fixed the problem. I'm scared something is going on and it'll eventually cut out on me during the commute. What was up with it? The best way of describing it was it felt like the petrol was running out... the bike became weaker and weaker. I have no choice but to take it to a garage I'm guessing? I checked the petrol and it hadn't btw, still had half a tank of petrol in it. Also it's a honda cbf 125 2014.
  2. Sorry should have said, it's a Honda CBF 125 2014. So the general consensus is to replace the front bulb and it should sort everything out?
  3. so I was going over some drains and the next thing I know I'm on the floor. The left hand indicator is working fine. The right hand indicator is playing up; the rear one stays on without flashing and the front one does not come on at all. Is this something I can fix myself or do you suggest taking it to a garage? If myself, how can i fix it? Any advice appreciated! Thanks
  4. Hello I have just taken the bike apart and cleaned the rear brake on my honda cbf 125 following on from this thread: https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=63578 I have a few questions. 1) There were some rubber blocks, pic below. One of the blocks was broken; a) what are these called? I need to buy new ones but have done some basic searches and can't seem to find them. b) It's not dangerous that it's broken right? Cause I've assembled everything back together and the broken one is currently in use as I was not anticipating needing new ones. 2) When I cleaned the brake I noticed only one of the springs and side of the brake shoe was working. Pic below (when pulled only top side has expanded as you can see). Is this correct? Is only one side supposed to be working or are both supposed to press outwards? Thanks!
  5. okay brilliant thanks guys. And yep got brake cleaner already, got WD40 brake cleaner!
  6. Okay thanks. Looks like i'll be spending sunday taking it apart and putting it back together. Hope it isn't too complex!
  7. Hi all, need some advice. My honda cbf 125 rear brake squeaks when I use it. But 2 things I have noticed is: 1. It only squeaks at low speed 2. It squeaks REALLY loud the first 2-3 miles of my journey in the mornings when commuting to work, but after that, it pretty much stops (or rarely happens). Does anyone know what could be up with it/does anyone have an explanation? The bike is a 2014 bike.
  8. Thank you p.s. viewing a bike tomorrow, how do I get it home if I like it? Do I get one ride free without insurance? How does it work
  9. thought I'd pop in and say I passed my CBT today first time Mood currently:
