  1. Another reminder the greater section of our society distrusts and dislikes motoring enthusiasts, and won't be happy until we're all conveyed everywhere in silent, auto-piloted electric Micras.
  2. 3 helmets (only ever wear 1) 2 textile jackets (one has a ripped sleeve from an off) 1 pair of gloves 1 pair of textile trousers 1 pair of boots 1 leather Jacket (blue, Richa, my favouite but only for nice days)
  3. I actually bought a bike a bit like that (well not that bad but still). Triumph 1050 sprint, looked alright but the owner did say it had been crashed and repaired. Seemed fine but a year or so after I bought it it rolled backwards off the side stand and fell over - unsurprisingly cracked fairings, more surprisingly the headstock snapped.. Turns out it had been welded back on at some point, after the crash no doubt, and not very well at that.
  4. I've been fairly sure for a while that society in general is moving towards a place where zero risk is acceptable. Safety is paramount, and any argument against it is just met with 'you're being selfish' as though all drivers/riders who actually enjoy the activity (as opposed to seeing it as a mundane necessity) must be reckless idiots. Councils making these decisions just want everyone to use public transport anyway.
  5. I'd love to buy your busa but pigs may fly before I could afford it I'm sure you'll have no shortage of offers for it, they're always popular.
  6. Similar process to me, except it takes me 4 hours with no coffee break xD ..and I usually find I haven't cleaned the wheels properly the next day either!
  7. You do come out with some utter bollocks So the North and Scotland would fight but the rest of us would just give up? No-one knows how it would go down but as Putin has Nuclear weapons it's rather a moot point.
  8. Thanks Facebook for this prophetic juxtaposition..
  9. I read that initially as 'extensive dildos attack' now that really would undermine Putin's image
  10. Definitely in that case! Have to agree they are utterly useless. Only thing I can suggest is to keep calling them as they seem to ignore emails.
  11. I was in the same position, I called and he assured me it would be sent out. A week later I called again, turns out I needed to phone my previous insurer, as I hadn't been with MCE long enough to get another year. So unless you've been with them 11 months you'll be in the same position
  12. Yikes! I suspect they may have scrapped it as it was 23 years old, mechanically not bad but very tatty.
  13. I'll try them again, they didn't really respond to my last email except to send the invoice but hopefully they should help.
  14. So it turns out I here didn't cancel my insurance on my gsxr 600 when I traded it against my new bike, so I've been paying for insurance on a bike I haven't owned since last June.. The insurance company has said they'll cancel it and repay me the backdated payments if I can prove I've sold the bike. Except I don't have any documentation to prove it. Nothing from the DVLA. I asked the dealership I traded it in to but all they sent was the invoice for the new bike which makes no mention of the old bike at all, so useless. Like me Any suggestions on how I could obtain proof of sale at this stage gratefully received!
  15. My thoughts exactly, just how is that sensible? Obviously as riders/drivers we check for cyclists approaching a turn but the idea it's our fault if a suicidal cyclist takes the opportunity of us slowing and indicating to suddenly undercut us is ridiculous.
