  1. Hi everyone, Not one to rant on a public forum, especially since I rarely post, but just needed to went amongst the people who will understand the most my frustration. I've been hit by a car that came out of the junction two months ago, which resulted in a broken wrist (scaphoid bone to be precise). I've had a cast on for six weeks. I've prepared myself for the fact that it is a very slow healing bone, but thought at least it will be half way healed, if not all. Cast came off a week ago, and another x ray showed that not only it did not heal, but it detached itself further apart and moved sideways (how does that happen in a cast ). So now I am sitting here with a broken wrist a week on waiting for the appointment for surgery. The only positive I can see out of this is that by the time it's all over and done with I will be ambidextrous. Joking aside, I am depressed and frustrated. Haven't ridden for two months, doesn't look like it will happen for at least another two. Not to mention the pain, discomfort, irritability...and how useless left hand is when you are right handed. Simple task like stirring sugar in a coffee cup without creating a tsunami.......... Oh not to forget the fractured index finger, which has healed somewhat. Must remember not to use it when pulling the break leaver... although that won't be happening anytime soon. But worst of all, not being able to ride I am trying to stay positive, but it is hard. Oh and before anyone asks how is the bike, perfectly fine, some minor damage, nothing that a few bits from ebay and a bit of welding can't sort out.
  2. Or not..... I am 6"2 but passed third time. First fail locked the back wheel on the emergency stop, second fail knocked the cone over on avoidance. Passed Mod 2 first time though.
