  1. Thanks very much for all the advice, it is really good to know. Oil service is probably about as far as I'd go. How recently would you class as "very" recently? Wow that sounds like a pain, especially while you were away! I'll check the starter. Thanks again for the advice
  2. I've kept the other thread up-to date https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=64470&p=1102592#p1102592
  3. Hi all, Another update... the current owner has contacted me asking if I am still interested in purchasing the bike! I am beyond excited, however I want to check the condition it is in etc to get a good idea of the current price. Are there any key things to look out for on a 2002 Ducati Monster S4? Thanks again for any help, almost there.
  4. Thanks all for the replies Haha, close but no cigar Thanks for looking though! I wonder if that relates to the first registration (my dad), it was purchased in Essex. Well, I have some news! I was able to post to a facebook Bude group and someone sent a pic of THE bike! They found it and it was posted on 1st April this year on facebook so I've messaged the guy that posted it. He could be the current owner!
  5. Thanks for the replies. I've setup notifications for the search term "Ducati Monster" on https://www.newsnow.co.uk/classifieds/cars-vans-for-sale/ it's great website! I contacted the DVLA previously and they said it wasn't a valid reason for obtaining their address. I might just send the V888 form to the DVLA and see if they want my £2.50 or not
  6. Hi, just a quick update (over 1 year on). After contacting Ace Motorcycles in Bude (calls and emails) they've not been helpful. Bude is a good 5hrs drive from me otherwise I'd have popped in to speak to them face to face. Anyway, Ive been checking and the bike is now SORN. I'm not sure where to go from here, keep watching the classifieds? Unless anyone has any other suggestions? So close yet so far. Thanks all

  8. Hi all, I know the title seems VERY specific and it is for a good reason. I am try and find my late fathers old motorbike. I was reminded of it a little while ago in conversation with someone. The memories came flooding back, the trips we took on it, they were some great times, so I am looking for it to bring it back into the family. The reg is EF02 ZKJ. The outcome that I am hoping for is to find out where it is, if it is for sale currently, if not, get in touch with the owner to say "give me a ring if you want to sell it". I hope someone can help Cheers!
  9. Quick update. Still no luck, but I haven't given up hope. I've got watches setup on Gumtree, Auto trader and ebay to see if it goes up for sale! Is there anywhere else I should be watching?
  10. I wasn't too far off then Haha If I go down there to collect the bike, I will ask for the name of that ice cream shop I’ve called the garage and they’ve kindly said they will pass on a message to the owner for me. All I can do is wait and hope they get in touch at some point. Fingers crossed!
  11. Yeah I was sure it was a Y reg thinking back but I was WAY off! I've updated the original post now.
  12. Yeah it wasn’t, but worth a try. W My search still continues! Have you posted on the Ducati Minster Forum ? You'll have to register obviously. Thanks, I have been on there too but had little luck without the reg number. But I am back again with a pretty important update... i have the reg!! EF02 ZKJ I jumped straight on the MOT history and it is still on the road (but no test centre listed)! However... I know a guy and he was able to help It was last tested by Ace Motorcycles in Bude. I will give them a call to see if they can help! Another step closer!
  13. Yeah it wasn’t, but worth a try. My search still continues!
  14. Thanks TimR. That seems to be the best option, someone else also suggested it too. I will be doing that tomorrow.
  15. Hi all, Just a quick update (although there isn't much to update). I have searched high and low for any photos of the bike and I can't find ANY! I will keep looking and hopefully come across some. When I do, I will post back here!
