  1. All looks good underneath, gave it a wipe to make sure the small amount of dirt wasn’t hiding anything. Puddle on the paper was just today, oil gauge is now empty when it was up to the manual advised level this morning. Oh well, off to the dealership
  2. Can’t imagine it would have fella, il go down and get another look at it but it’s been ridden softer than my misses
  3. Evening everyone, hope Santa was good but even more important, hope the weather is still ok for some riding where you are in the UK. Had the Triumph Street Scrambler out on Christmas Eve for the longest ride yet. Was up and down the carriageways of Aberdeen in and out of the twisty farm roads. Total of about 160 miles so we have 184 on the clock. Went to take her out yesterday, wouldn’t start and oil needed refilled. Done that without even thinking of looking down below. Behold, today directly below the bike is an oil puddle! Would be exactly where I think the oil sump would sit. Does anyone have any slight idea what this could be? Or if any other recent Triumph bike model owners have had the same issue? Cheers
  4. My first helmet was a Scorpion EXO combat thing, looked pretty cool but jings man it was as loud as a 80s ghetto blaster. I genuinely had a headache last about a day and a half after a 2 hour ride, it wasn’t much better with earplugs too. My thought process was simple, which ones are popular with motorcycle vloggers? A stroke of genuis if I do say so myself. I picked up an Icon Variant, virtually silent but it just doesn’t really suit my cafe racer style street scrambler....neither does my bright orange alpinestars scion jacket now that I think of it
  5. Some of the magazines are running a promotion just now, sign up for the year and get oxford grips for free. I think it’s BIKE that have it just now. Oh, if anyone buys a new Triumph model which has the ride by wire throttle, currently you seem stuck having to buy their ones at £180
  6. I’m up and down from Aberdeen as I have family in Kelvindale. Happy to catch up once the weather clears a bit
  7. my learning stages were exciting. Iv been through the wars (literally) right hand and wrist have been smashed apart and contain plastic bones, restricts the movement slightly in the wrist and hand wedding finger and pinky. Lower legs have compartment compression syndrome which restricts the movement of my ankles slightly (up and down movements) Failed the first CBT, as i have slight restricted movement in my right hand and wrist so whenever i was turning the bike, id rev it like mad as i cant really rotate my wrist, add that to a learners clutch control and your not having fun. Instructor wasnt really the best tbh. Second CBT passed easily, new instructor and instantly got me to hold the throttle in a certain way allowing more freedom of movement for my wrist. Next up, DAS, three day course. Day one different instructor, came off the bike as i couldnt reach the bikes rear brake with my right foot (Suzuki Gladius) so snatched he front brake and ended up on my back with the bike skooshing petrol down my groin, oops. Ended up going home later as the instructor was not much of an instructor and more of an over the top fault finder. one week later, DAS three day course with the same instructor as my successful CBT, mod 1 passed without any faults. Operation on my left leg, 5 weeks later a 3 hour lesson with the same instructor and a Mod 2 passed without any faults. If i can fail a CBT and come off the bike first day of the DAS but still pass the tests without fauls, anyone can!! best advice i can ever give is to enjoy your lessons and tests, relax and remember trust yourself. Happy riding
