  1. Nope, I'm well within the A2 age bracket unfortunately, otherwise I would certainly go for A True about the price! There's a lot you're paying for, especially if you compare to how much getting your car license costs.
  2. Hello! I'm looking to get my A2 full license via a direct access course. I live in the Oxfordshire area and have just had a quick Google; for 3-day courses (which is what the company is saying is suitable for my level of experience) it costs around £600! Bloody expensive. Any recommendations? Does anywhere go cheaper than this? Context: I have about 3-4 months experience of intense (almost) every day riding, at least an hour a day, sometimes up to 8 hours a day; on automatic, semi-auto and manual bikes from 100cc to 650cc (various mopeds, Honda Grom, Honda CRF150L + CRF250L, Yamaha MT-03, Honda CB500X + CB500F, Honda XR650L Kawasaki Versys 650); on all road surfaces including rush-hour inner-city roads, 70mph motorway speeds and rocky dirt trails. As all of this was abroad, I've never completed my CBT. What would you recommend? I want to get my license ASAP. Thanks!
  3. Hello! Imagine money doesn't matter (for theoretical reasons), which would give a better/more enjoyable ride; a Honda CBR500R (47hp as standard) or an A2-restricted CBR650R (94hp limited down to 47hp)? I've found little info on this. One YouTube review mentioned how the restricted 650 had effectively no power above 8000rpm, which just seems like it would be frustrating. My instincts are telling me that it would be much more rewarding to ring out the full potential of a smaller 500 than to be limited to the same power but on a bigger 650. It's designed for 94hp, surely it would feel shit with only 47? I'm considering buying both bikes and I'll have to ride with the A2 license for at least 2 years, so I would hate to spend more on the 650 only to find it would have been more fun on the 500. So: CBR500R for 2 years then upgrade Or restricted CBR650R for 2 years then de-restrict? Thanks for any replies!
