  1. I am having trouble locating a replacement exhaust or aftermarket exhaust for the above bike. any tips?
  2. Looking to fit up and pull back handlebars, have the maximum risers on at the moment but want to sit back more. Any info on to where to buy longer brake, throttle and clutch cables.

Hi I came back to motorbikes 4 yrs ago, at 72 yrs old still loving the thrill of those curves. Current bike is a Yamaha FZ6 2005 FAZER. Quite a upright seat position and fast enough for me.
  4. Put this in Motorbike chat but it should be in Pitstop! While fitting a new windshield, one of the retaining bolt nuts was pushed off its seat and fell on the floor. Has anyone had experience of removing the front fairing and aware of any problems to watch out for. This appears to the only way to access refitting the bolt.
  5. Sorry, there are 4 bolts holding the windscreen. One of the retaining nuts pushed off when trying to refit the bolt! Wondered if anyone had experience of taking the front fairing off. It is the only way to relocate the nut. Hope that makes better sense.
  6. When fitting a new windshield to my Honda Varadero 125 2008 the retaining nut pushed off. Any ideas how easy it is to gain access to refit it.
  7. They are attached to the fairing. Pretty keen on getting some handlebar ones. Looking at the ones at J&S not the cheap ones on eBay.
  8. Anyone aware if you can get better mirrors for the 2008 Honda Varadero 125cc?
  9. Got out from the horses mouth I have to take the mod 1 again on a 125cc to take a mod 2 on a 125cc.
  10. Going to buy a Honda Varadero 125 2008 tomorrow. Thanks for all the comments.
  11. Found out I had to wait the 10 days. Could get another test at another test centre but 9 days after my first failure. Why A2. Decided to limit my cc to 600. Have since decided to limit myself to 125cc as I'm 68 ++ so not interested in tearing up the roads.
  12. Thanks guys Partially right Gerontious. I am 68 years old. One was my mistake the other two I felt pretty hard done too. Not sourgrapes guys. I am not interested in speed and I ride a KTM Duke 125 which doesn't take your breath away although it is quite nippy. So I decided to stick to 125 cc bikes but would like to pass the test.. My failure on the last test was nothing to do with size of the bike. My test was almost complete. The examiner told me to turn left at a set of traffic lights. I indicated left. Unfortunately there was a road on the left. A car came down to the junction. We were in standing traffic. I was about to switch them off and let the car out but the examiner told me to turn them off. Fail! There seems very little flexibility in the test. If I was turning left there I would have turn into that road already. There was no point speaking to the examiner because on the test before that I failed I questioned what he said and he through his teddy out of the cot and stormed out. I went to look at a Honda Varadero this morning but they would not part ex my KTM for a decent price.
  13. Not sure if this has been asked before. I have passed DAS mod but failed mod 2 test 3 times. Decided to stick to 125 cc and go for a test on that. As I have passed mod 1 already on a 600 cc bike do I need to take it again on a 125 cc. Have asked DVSA they seem unsure but aired on the side of caution and said yes.
  14. Do you have to wait 10 working days to take a A2 mod 2 test if you have just failed the direct access mod 2 test.
