  1. its a gsr 750 so nothing fancy, where the heck would I get it cloned?
  2. I'm only 28 but 2 of my closest friends both want bikes but the test is expensive and hella expensive if you fail more than once, add in a girlfriend and probably owning a car too, going out to places then add on trying to save a massive deposit if you want a decent place too live in a semi decent area and that's it all your money gone, motorbike doesn't even appear as a blip on the radar and don't think you can blame the younger generation, only reason I have a bike is because my parents are well off and gave me a house, yay me but for most young people a bike is just an expensive toy that just isn't feasible when your trying too set your self up for the future, tldr life too expensive cant afford bike
  3. Getting a second v5c is fine and the bike only has 6000 miles so its missing the service history for first two of the bike but the rest I can reprint from my mechanic, second key is doomed unless I replace the barrel I guess? For future selling how impactful is only have a v5c and some scrappy service history paper lol, I lost the service book too -_- turned the house upside all last week and must have gotten thrown or left behind when I moved house about 4 months ago, frickin annoying
  4. Passed 2 as a kid, both with the same decapitation effect, both due to cars pulling out of junctions and likely the bikes going too fast, one poor guy ended up through the post office window, well his lid and his head, post mistress if that's what they are called never made it back to work after that. Christ sounds haunting, prob not best to read that before I commute home, speeding on a bike just inst worth it, there are very few roads where ill give it the beans
  5. all repaired and back on the road again woop!
  6. Ha nope, a real typical sweet old nan type of woman, which is why when I got home I apologized for going so berserk at her, but she totally understood why and was just happy I was safe, bless her
  7. Did a quick check of the axel nut since I was becoming paranoid, but it's not a scuff it's a little indent thing, excatly the same on the other side
  8. Maybe 5mph absolutely tops, and I was stationary, well she said she's never had a crash in 40 years of driving and didn't really know what to do next, I told her we could go through the insurance ( didn't really go into detail, since I'd rather the money and get it fixed asap ) or told her the cost and she just said she would pay, to be honest I don't think she had any clue as to how insurance companies work, she was probably at least 70, kinda hard to feel how bad it went down since it happened so fast, really the only cosmetic damage was a snapped brake lever, scratched up bar end, scuffs to mirror, bent exhaust and destroyed crash protector and slight bend in the cheap ass plastic hugger, her car was alright just one massive tyre mark on the bumper lol
  9. Even if the insurance did crop after should be ok since I had 3 witnesses come to me and grabbed all there details and took photos of everything and the scene where it happened, also fact that the money has gone in and cleared makes it seem unlikely that it will go anyfurther and father in law checked it over, very clued up on bike mechanics, he said I got lucky as hell lol
  10. I did get my GFS dad to look over it since his a bike nut and ex mechanic and he said everything was fine, he acutally asked to come over and check since he was worried there was unseen damage, it wasn't particularly fast, maybe 5mph if that? I did tell the insurers all the mods but going through the quote on the phone they told me that any after market parts would be replaced by standard, mce told me this and even though I didn't go with them the company I did go with also said exact same
  11. Any suggestions for a decent/not outrageously expensive one? Had a look but tbh no idea what I'm looking at, didn't even know you could steam a bike lol
  12. Oh and I snapped the rear passenger peg by pushing the bike out next to my and my GFS car, got stuck but didn't think anything of it and just pushed as hard as I could then ping r.i.p footpeg, the peg was loose and it fell down and caught on her tyre lol and instead of checking why I couldn't push it, I just said full steam ahead that was 4 years ago? And gsr600 to replace the rear peg you have to replace the whole bracket which is 330 so yup it stayed like that lol, prob should just angle grind each side off
  13. Laughed at some of the comments had this bike since I was 21 and was fat lazy, useless, and unwilling to learn, it's battered to hell ( first big bike, rs125 2 stroke and ybr125 before ) been dropped more times than I remember, some of them being insanely dumb, it's pretty rusty lol but too stop it getting it even worse I caked it in acf50 (not gungey parts) to try keep the old gal alive, as bruised and battered as she is, she still rides well, had the forks uprated, luckily had friend who did it for free so was really cheap to do, and brakes are decent, only thing really that might need changing soon is muffler since it's corroded to hell where it joins with the mid pipe, but you can pick one up on eBay for 40 so w/e, also somehow passed mot with no advisories lol anyway here are some more pics after I did a lil clean
  14. Ohh I've acutally got 5 liters coming this Wednesday so hopefully perfect, can you recommend any decent brush? Toothbrushes are w**k for this they clog up way to fast, feels like your brushing gunk to gunk lol, also parrafin pretty safe around all parts except paintwork correct?
  15. This acutally happened a week ago but I've been so pissed I didn't want to talk about it, so bought a gsr 750, 5k miles absolutely immaculate and only 4.5k! Way under sold it as it has a ton of extras too, clearly needed cash but w/e so next day I ride it home, so happy, absolutely in love with the bike, commute the next day to work then on the way home I was stopped on a roundabout for a good 4-5 seconds then bump, old granny goes into the back of me, 21 hours after owning bike, went absolutely spastic at the old girl ( which I apologized for when I called her later that night ) she didn't want to go through the insurance which made me so happy since insurance companies replace after market parts with standard and suzuki exhaust are absolutely disgusting, so priced everything up and told her the parts were going to be 1k and she agreeded to pay me a little more because she felt to bad being a brand new bike (1100) 5 days later, money cleared and all parts ordered, spoke to the women a few more times since then, and bless her she's been brilliant, sucks that it happened but crash bungs completely saved all of the paintwork ( worth their weight in gold ) and most other damage is tiny although exhaust got totally trashed and brake lever snapped off which is a annoying job to replace, overall it sucks it happened but the aftermath couldn't have gone smoother and just happy it got sorted so fast and so easily anyway here are some pics, also 5 years on my old bike not one crash, 21 hours on new one and get hit lol, wouldn't even be so bad if it was my own fault but I wasn't even moving!!
