  1. Insurance sorted and even got a bit of discount for being a member on here!!
  2. I did "USE IT" as you put it, and my question was from the results of the comparison site and asking for people's thoughts/recommendations of companies they have used as there are a lot of unknown companies on the results that I have not heard of and have mixed reviews. But then on reflection not much point getting other peoples opinions on a company because everyone has different experiences! Eg I have not had a problem with my current company but others may have had issues!
  3. Hello all, So it's that time of year again when insurance is up for renewal! Been riding 2 years and have been with possibly the main company out there! But done a new quite and still seems quite high gone onto comparison site and there are many many that are cheaper! However, been onto trustpilot and the reviews for a couple of them are interesting to say the least and don't fill with confidence! Therefore wanting to see what other companies people us and would recommend!! Many thanks!
  4. But wouldn't the variation make it more appealing? Could also open people's eyes to potentially other bikes that would suit them more for their requirements that they may not have thought about!?
  5. Not sure if this has been covered before, but anyone else slightly disappointed with the lack of TV bike programmes!? The only ones seem to be BSB, WSBK and the motorbike show by Henry Cole, have seen this 2 or 3 times but he focuses on various rides and more old school bikes, but can't get on with it personally! With the amount of crap on the TV surely someone somewhere could produce a good programme, with latest news, reviews, how to's etc...and could also be a great opportunity for various companies to advertise their merchandise!? Just thought I would throw this out there and see what other peoples opinions are on it!!!
  6. That black termignoni looks mint......think my missus would have summat to say about the price though!! don't really wanna be going much more than 350 I would say, just want summat that looks pleasing to the eye and sounds decent! Considering the lextek which looks pretty good, not heard one in the flesh so to speak on the MT07!
  7. ^^^^ sounds good!! Still after an answer on whether the MT07s still run sweet with new exhaust system fitted without being remapped/flashed!! Coz as mentioned I have heard that they don't run as well at lower rpm unless remapped but personally can't see it being too much of an issue!!
  8. will take a ride out and have a look up round there, had a brief look in the map and looks pretty decent!
  9. Some good comments on here and good review, if I could throw my tuppence in.... I have been riding little over 2 years or so, first bike was ZX6R J1 and boy did I make a mistake getting that as a first bike!! I decided to change and got a brand new 2018 MT07 ABS and what a difference!! It is so much lighter, nimble and can literally throw it about! Bike is so much more capable than me and as already mentioned by another user my confidence is holding the bike back! The indicator and horn switches / buttons are still a massive negative, far too close together but if ya hit the horn by mistake then no bad thing I guess! Not like it's a fog horn that's gunna disturb the whole neighbourhood!! The stock exhaust is horrendous!! This is something I am desperate to change, elizabethf - you mentioned that you fitted a scorpion exhaust, did you get it remapped / flashed or not? If not have you had any issues with lower end rpm throttle response or anything as I have read that it can become quite poor if not remapped? Regarding the wind issue, I find this another negative but have found that if you adopt a kind of sports bike position (on motorway, duel carriageway) and get close to the dash then it can reduce the battering quite significantly and didn't feel too bad a position to be in!! Not sure how it would look from an observer but if it reduces drag and battering then who cares!! The seat I find isn't that comfy after long time on the bike, not sure if that's coz I have got a boney small backside though, and I have seen that you can change the seat I think if you wanted to! On the whole though an absolutely cracking little bike for the money!! Would definitely recommend to a new rider!
  10. Hi there, just joined forum, now own Yamaha MT07, previous to that had a ninja zx6r j1.
  11. happy days, but any really good ones that are quiet? Always seems to be an abundance of muppet car drivers kicking about!! Do you have a favourite!??
  12. Hello all, I am after a 2018 Yamaha MT07 aftermarket exhaust, not an akrapovic though coz every bugger seems to have one of them so want to be a bit different!! Also, looking for 2 piece leathers, I am 177cm (roughly 5'10 / 5'11) tall, waist 34, chest roughly 44. Not after multi coloured power ranger type but relatively neutral colours!
  13. Hello all, recently changed my bike and got an MT07 2018, however, as you may or not be aware, the stock exhaust is pants!! Sounds more like a petrol lawnmower if you are in slightly too high a gear and pull away!! I am aiming to purchase a new exhaust, possibly a lextek but not sure yet, I have read in a couple of places that throttle response can deteriorate following exhaust change and remap is necessary, however friend of mine has changed exhausts on multiple bikes he has owned and never had an issue. Has anyone changed the exhaust on an MT07 and not had a remap? if so have you had any problems or is a remap a must!?? Many thanks and ride safe!
  14. St Helen Auckland here, anyone know a good quiet twisty road where I can practice my corner speed and leaning? Quite a new rider!
