  1. Lol, surely to qualify to be a key worker you would have to be working during this crisis Correct, but how do you legally travel to your key worker job on a 125 if you don't have a CBT/your CBT has expired?
  2. Riding school near me is still doing CBTs, but only if you can prove you are a key worker.
  3. No idea if they are any good or not, but I've seen recommendations for this product that doubles up as an earplug and bluetooth earbud: https://www.customfitguards.co.uk/cf-lite
  4. If that works for you then great, but I personally don't get on with audio navigation because it is constantly telling you even when you don't need the prompts 99% of the time, and it feels like an interruption to me too. I want to switch off as much as possible when I'm on the bike, but if I need a bit of guidance on which junction to take, or I'm wondering how long until the next turning etc., I can choose to look at the dial. I'm not using it for any complicated city navigation or anything though, so that is worth bearing in mind.
  5. I had the same experience as Beans. Halfway through the actual exam I remembered that people who have been driving for a fair while spot hazards better, so did as Beans said and clicked first when I saw it, then a second or two later - ended up just scraping through with something like 5 max scores, 4 zeroes (including the double-hazard, and I know I saw the hazards on that because I remember thinking "well that is the double-hazard done, and it was easy" ), and a couple of 4s. I even practiced with the £2.99 iphone app, but I just had it propped up while I was eating lunch - I think that added enough of a delay, whereas in the exam room I was hunched there waiting like it was high noon.
  6. I found this useful: https://videobiker.co.uk/module-two . Also, I failed my first one (and nearly got myself killed in the process, which for the record is a major fault), and what set me off wrong was only answering three of the five parts of the "what would you advise a pillion to do" question (and getting a withering, disgusted tone from the examiner to go along with the minor), so I'd recommend setting aside some time to memorise answers for the balance questions - this link includes those along with the show-me-tell-me stuff: https://www.lightningpass.com/motorcycle-test-questions .
  7. The CB125R has an official designation as CBF125NAJ - for example if you use https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history, it'll show up as Honda CBF. FWIW I got £2700 trade-in for my '69 plate, and that was the upper price because I was trading in against a new bike. Of course I was sure everyone was wrong and I'd definitely keep the 125 for a year at least ...
  8. I got one of these - great bit of kit, looks good (I swapped for a silver one with the metal mount), absolute bare minimum information to avoid me getting lost without anything that can get me distracted. Fair play to anyone who can memorise maps or who can tune out incoming texts/calls/notifications etc., but I'd end up riding off the side of a hill if I tried to use my phone on the bike
  9. Stupid question, but what level of cover is sufficient for keeping a bike outside? Is the necessity just keeping the rain off, and therefore a lean-to open on one or two sides sufficient, or does it need to be in a fairly "sealed" enclosure (garage, shed, etc.)? I don't need to worry about security, luckily (I'm in a remote location). I did build a nice shed, but new to bikes and didn't factor in how much effort is required to move a bike from a standstill on large slate chippings. I'm wondering if I can just build a larger lean-to and keep the shed for other stuff, or if I need to incur extra cost and get the driveway around the shed tarmacked. Thanks in advance!
