Hi All, I thought you would like to see some pics of my Sachs XTC 4 stroke rebuild. (52 plate) The plan is to: Rebuild it and get it MOTed (note: this is not a full restoration, just want to get the full MOT ticket on it) Record all up weight of bike Stick it on the dyno to record stock power. establish power to weight ratio. Modify it - both engine and chassis - details to follow - but basically lightening the bike and a torque / power increase. Record all up weight of the bike. Stick it back on the dyno. New power to weight ratio Keep running round that loop until I get bored! I know they're not the best bikes in the world in terms of build quality and riding position, but I like the aesthetic and quirky Ducati type look. I have two of these bikes, one bought running and complete about 8 years ago and one bought with fire damage about 6 years ago. I'm going to make one good bike and use the other bike for doner / spare parts. Already had to rob a few, I have one cracked cyclinder head (pictured - between spark plug and exhaust valve and one with a scored cam housing. I hope you enjoy the thread as it develops, hopefully in a few years it will be a beautiful machine. P.S - Anyone with any parts for sale, please get in contact
