I informed dvla when it happened and sent my license in they sent it back the only thing that was different is that i could not drive a HGV.

Hi Tankbag i had a similar accident when i was 18 a wheel bearing at work shattered and a steel fragment went into my eye. I had a couple of operations but in the end i had my eye removed and now have a artificial one, the only problem i had at the beginning was with pouring making a cup of coffee sometimes the spout was not quite over the cup.

Hi Guys just joined the forum and noticed this post, just to let you know i lost my right eye when i was 18 and now i am 55 i ride a vfr 1200 and never had a accident. So you can ride a bike but just be careful .
