  1. well.. it was a brand new bike. I thought it would burn more oil than usual because of bedding in, but didn't think it wouldn't have much oil in at all. The dealership did tell me they were going to give it a once over before they sent it off. email sent out so hopefully get further instructions tomorrow. Surely cant have knackered it already ? like i say its not empty, just not to the minimum. thanks for the reply
  2. Hey all, i have purchased a CB125F and clocking some miles up on it now. Around 300. It came to my attention i should probably check the oil, even though it should be all fine and dandy. However, when checking the oil on the center stand and having been idling for a few mins before hand, the dipstick came back with no oil on it whatsoever. Has some on the bottom of it when screwed in but should only be dipped back in says the manual. My question is what type of oil is best for topping it up ? just any old 10W-30 ? it hasn't even had its first service yet and i was under the impression the oil the bike has in from new is different from normal oil, so it beds in better. or am i talking utter nonsense. Apologies for the newbie question but if you dont ask, you wont find out! Any help is much appreciated, Halfsqot

  4. Thats a nice bike! I can only dream and thanks for the info. Im sure you have haha
  5. Thanks, do i need to send it to a proper honda dealership to keep warranty etc ? or just any old bike shop ? Thanks Cal
  6. Yes its got 24 month warranty. but i will hopefully get rid of it in a year to get my test passed running in specs said *Avoid full throttle starts and rapid acceleration *avoid hard braking and rapid down shifts *ride conservatively Thats all it says Thanks
  7. Hey all, i have just got myself a little CB125F to learn the ways of the road before getting a bigger a bike. It came brand new with 2 miles on the clock so i was extremely excited to get out on the road and get some miles clocked up. Because im a new rider and never came to mind, but you should run an engine in ? I haven't been revving the crap out of it but taking it relatively steady on back roads. However i would come across a main road every now and then and be doing 60mph which is nearly as fast as it goes, so im guessing its doing alot of hard work. Basically ive got just under 200 miles on it and all seems grand, but am i doing something bad for the long run ? will the engine not perform well later down the line if i don't bed it in correctly ? slightly worried! any help would be much appreciated and apologies if the question has already been asked somewhere! Thanks Half
  8. Hey, thanks for that! relived now i am having trouble with compare the market though, what licence do i have exactly ? just a provisional ? and when it states how long ive had my licence for, is it how long ive have had the CBT certificate ? or my full uk driving licence ? thanks again
  9. Hello, i have a full UK driving licence with only AM on the back, meaning i can only drive a moped up to 50cc i think. However i have just done my CBT, so can i get a 125cc and stick l plates on and i will be fine ? very confused at the moment! thanks for any help
