My bike is quite old and has recently been able to only run with the choke half way, not all the way up, the engine just pops to a silence when all the way up. Any diagnosis and ways to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I am currently looking for my first bike. I have found one on auto trader but it is 35 years old, is it worth getting (As in is it gonna last me a couple years) or Am I going to have to put a lot of money into Repairs? I do really like how it looks! Thank you for any help!
