  1. im commuting whole year on my bike for practical reasons: from home to uni from uni to work if i would be in a car i would never get on time anywhere...apart from carrying loads of stuff(like shopping) or having to drive around kids car is not that practical at all. its just more comfortable when you cant stand the bad weather. might change my mind later on maybe when ill get tired or something i dont know for now bike seems like a better option
  2. actually ive oiled the chain after the last ride out but its a silicon lube(yellowish kinda colour:D) and spots were totally black. could that be dirt mixed in with lube? ill check for spots tomorrow morning thx for info
  3. I have finished work today and noticed that there are black spots under the bike. checked with finger and its oil. what should i do? should i get the bike serviced immediately? i have dropped the bike once but its was about 3 weeks ago and until now it was fine
  4. this is very helpful. get that post seperated from this thread and sticky it somewhere
  5. if it offers the same protection but its thinner im not going for it definetely not worth extra money. ive seen a nice suit for 400 from alpine stars ill check the stitches next time ill visit the shop.
  6. Hi ive bought my first big bike this year. Im going for rideouts quite often and im planning to go for track days. I have textile jacket for commuting and im just using jeans I have 500-650£ budget which ill probably be able to bend IF NECESSARY i was looking at some alpinestars leather suits in J&S in Leeds for 400£ i need new boots - 90-150£ and gloves - 20-50£ (boots and gloves alpinestars) guy in the shop recommended berik gear (suit particulary). He said that the leather in those suits is stronger.. I was wondering if there is any difference and if it is, is it worth 100£ waiting for your opinions...

    abba stand

Hi im looking for a bike stand to get my rear tyre up main purpose is to lube the chain when motorbike is in first gear and the rear tyre is spinning freely do you think abba sand will be ok with motorbike running on it? maybe you have something against my method of lubing the chain:D? i went through couple of older posts and abba stands were the ones most people recommended as very safe to use thank you
