Devil's Bridge - 20th August
dragolith replied to dragolith's topic in North West Rideouts and Meets
Yes I guess I am quite lucky. Always lived near the bridge. Oh well, maybe next time! Perfect weather for it today though -
I'll be at Devil's tomorrow (20th) Who's nearby and out? Come say Hi and maybe have a blast to Hawes
-
I took it to a local garage, ill call tomorrow to ask them, because I have no clue how to deal with brakes, or most things for that matter!
-
Wouldnt that be done during pad replacement?
-
Hey all, I just got new brake pads fitted, the rear wheel turns freely but the front is hard to turn as the pads rub. After some riding I assume the pads will wear in? Or should it run freely like the rear? Thanks.

Anyone from carnforth?? (kendal, kirkby lonsdale etc...)
dragolith replied to a topic in North West Rideouts and Meets
I live in Carnforth, I am always at Devils, welcome to join me. -
I measured and it appears to be the same on both sides. Shall I just tighten it and forget about it? I am sure it wont adjust the chain at all as the spindle bolts are tight.
-
Hey, I did read other posts about this but they were for a different Bike, so I wonder if I could ask for some assitance The lock nut adjuster bolt on the exhaust side appears to be in the same position as the other side, but is loose. When I tighten it, it is out of sync with the other side which is tight. Do I tighten it, or leave it in the position I found it? Will it stay in position if I leave it loose? I had a friend who is a Honda mechanic do an oil change recently, we didn't look at this area but he said my change was in good condition. Loose side:- https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=A9138C3642C36C2E!459&authkey=!ADEENjkk7B9T_YY Tight side:- https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=A9138C3642C36C2E!461&authkey=!AOdWXABL1w19vkU Thanks.

I am interested in hitting Scotland, never been on the Bike (I know ) I would need a guide to show me the best routes etc, and best place to stay. Any takers? I have weeks off in May, July, and Sept. Other than that I will be out for rides in my local area on my days off.

There seems to be a lot of debate over this, maybe I should start a poll
