  1. LOL! thanks for the replies guys Not sure if i'm going to need somewhere to stay anymore with whats been going on lately....
  2. Same happened to me and my partner in a big outdoor chain... bought a load of climbing gear and an item slipped through the net so we got it for free And no we didnt go back lol....
  3. Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone living in/very near london would be so kind as to put a roof over my head sometime over the Olympics? It would only be for a night or two I ask because my partner has been mobilised to do security over the period of the Olympics (about 6 weeks) and would like me to visit when he gets a day off. I've never been to london before so I thought it would be nice to visit the city too:) I would pay my way and offer you money for your kind hospitality. Hotels will be fully booked by now and extremely expensive! Anyway thank for any replies
  4. I will get the whistle-stop when my bike is ready
  5. hope she feels better soon... cant think of anything to suggest that may deter her from trying again... electric tape? but she would probs try and jump that too!
  6. Jesus!! Bless heron but attempting to jump a 6ft 6 fence! She should enter some form of doggie olymipics!!!
  7. how did she do that!? Glad she will be ok!
  8. Thanks I've got loads of kit spent about £400 in the past few months buying good kit. As I've recently been to scotland mountaineering and climbing. Spent a night wild camping 1000m up aonach mor in the snow so I think I have good kit I think were going to be camping (tents and bothy's)
  9. eesh soo lazy boothy! well done gaz, i thought i remembered you did lol! Did you camp? or b&b's and stuff? think weve decided on the WHW just need to plan now
  10. Thanks for the offer guy The coast to coast is tempting and the lakes is a beautiful place too! This would be the easiest to do support wise as i live near the start and could easily get picked up after as it isnt too far away. Im still thinking lol
  11. yeh its a shame its such a popular route the WHW... but it is a beautiful place I still cant decide! i realy like the challenge of the SUW but i realy like the idea of doing the WHW... It would be awesome if you still had the map and guidebooks More research needed it think!
  12. So as some of you know one of my hobbies is hiking/mountaineering.... This year im planning on doing a big walk, maybe for charity i dont know yet Was thinking either Coast to Coast, West Highland Way or Southern Upland Way (longest). Ive not done a long distance walk before but i've got all the kit id need to survive and i do lots of hiking anyway so fitness shouldnt be an issue.. Basically i was just wondering if anyon had done a long distance walk before? and which one would you recommend? I think i have my heart set on the SUW as its the longest and more of a challenge, but i LOVE the highlands so was also thinking WHW.... ugh dont know how to choose, i would do both but i doubt id get the time off work and be able to afford it tbh... Dont realy know why im asking on a bike forum lol, just curious i suppose:)
