  1. theres quite a few on here in the northeast but rideouts never seem to happen lol Few of us from the drz forum do rideouts but we're riding supermotos so 70_80 mph is about all we got ut anyone is welcome to come along? we'll e going out at somepoint this week heading for the lakes (via hartside cafe) if anyones interested? Dave
  2. With the engine turned off the battery should read around 12v. With engine running it should read 14v at least. How old is the battery? it's often worth replacing them anyway after 2+ years old as they do go bad.
  3. Going anywhere in particular on saturday? Had a look on the above website but cant find much about off roading. I have sm wheels for my bike aswell though Let me know if you need any help sorting smith's bike. Dave
  4. Where are you steve? I now have the perfect greenlane bike so i'm ready to tackle these greenlanes any time you are.
  5. I have a honda varadero 125 which will be ok for light laning if your still up for it? Theres a nice little muddy track down near the lighthouse to try when your bored i found it last night: http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x13/fronterapics/varadero/Image336.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x13/fronterapics/varadero/Image339.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x13/fronterapics/varadero/Image333.jpg The lane just leads round the outskirts of farmers land but it's good for a laugh [When your heading along the seafront towards the lighthouse follow the road left(up past caravan park).Where the road bears right further up theres the start of a little mud track right on that bend.Follow that all the way and theres 2 seperate tracks you can follow] EDIT: Tell Funkmeister_Smith (if you see him) that i wasn't being ignorant the other day when i seen him at team valley,i just couldn't remember who he was.Thought he looked familliar but wasn't sure so though i'd just walk past him (figured out a few mins later who he was
  6. It gets boring real quick The best part is blasting through the beehive road after your cuppa
  7. Actually,i'm pretty sure i seen you down there last week ? I was parked at the side of the burger van with a bloke on a bandit 12 and another bloke with a big cruiser thingy. This is what i'm riding at the moment: http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x13/fronterapics/ZZR600/Image287.jpg
  8. I'd rather look daft and have my skin in tact there's no difference wether you fall off a scooter or a busa at 50mph the damage will still be the same Having said that, when the weather is good i sometimes ride round in my shorts and a vest Tis all good. I'll keep an eye out for you. Dave
  9. I'm on a scooter so I don't think most bikers like me, anyway after work tomorrow I may pop down. The jock gives biker discount on cuppa's aswell.I'm not sure if that would apply to you being on a scooter JK What kind of scoot you on? pics of it? i'll come and say hello if i see you there.I usually stop there for a cuppa most days.
  10. I did my usual stunt and sold the xr As long as the greenlanes arent too bad i can follow on my zx6 ? (i'm serious) Are you going to the bike show at durham police hq on sunday? I heard there getting some stunt riders down to do some stuff, and the repsol honda race team is going i think... then heading to wetlands after that... Dave

    to plug or not

I have also used loads of these types over the years: On both cars and bikes and never had a single problem with it. It cost me about £10 from ebay and does 12 punctures for that.
  12. Sounds like you have a leak in your intake manifold... Try spraying some carb cleaner/wd40 at the intake with the engine running and see if the revs change which would suggest a leak. (you will probably hear a hissing noise in the area if there is a leak.)
  13. What i find strange is the fact people are still selling these on ebay! I mean if your going to log into ebay and do a search for something why not do that same search on google and get 'em for nothing Good luck to the ebay sellers though,if people are stupid enough to buy 'em
  14. No probs fella... I dont like doing normal ride out's to be honest as i get bored VERY easily unless it's constant STUPID speeds everywhere Which usually isn't everyones kind of thing. Off-road is where the fun's at anyway That's where i'm from
  15. Hello steve My engine is at armstrongs getting re-bored so i should have it back and fitted by tuesday at the latest but i also have to get it mot'd. Probably going to be next weekend by the time i'm all good to go. I'll find some lanes which aren't too muddy for ya It'll be a slow ride on the road to get to where were going though as my bike is geared up for off-road (50-60 flat out) We'll sort something out a bit closer to the time... Thanks Dave
