Like my CBR1000RR review this will be pretty biased as I love this bike too but there you go. I bought this at the end of 2018 for about £7500 and rode it through the duff weather until I got fed up with nearly getting wiped out on the A34 in the dark and rain. Started riding it again early doors 2019 and rode it loads for commuting, weekends and practicing for my IAM assessment. Passes the assessment at the end of last year and put the bike away for the winter again. I've no doubt it can...

Hi All,
I'm new on here and thought i would share a review of my new and first bike as I found it very hard to get any info on this before buying...it may prove usfeful to someone else.
Firstly I'm 33, been driving since i was 18 so plenty of road experience. I have a 20 mile daily round trip to the train station and with rising costs not only to run a car but to park the bloody thing i thought it was about time i did what i should have done years ago....get my CBT and a bike.

I took one out as part of KTM Didcot's orange weekend promotion.
From the off, I'll start by stating this is by far one of the very best, most fun bikes I have ever ridden on a road.
From my initial thoughts, just walking around the bike then to starting it up I knew it would be good and 30 seconds down the road I already had a huge grin on my face. KTM have basically made a 180hp, 190kg naked bike that nearly handles as well as a 450 supermoto but with nearly 4x the power & yet is 70kg...

Thought I'd do a quick review of my bike now I've had it just shy of a year...
Ok. The story was this...I had a big cruiser and had an accident, which saw it written off. I like 'different' bikes, not clit bikes. So I've never owned a supermoto before and nearly bought a Hypermotard, but then went into Jim Aimes to look at a 990smc, and fell in love with the 690.

Where to start really, I have ridden a lot of motox in my younger days but alas as our group got older people got married/ kids etc and so ended up on my tod and started riding road bikes as I felt it was safer on my own as more likely to be spotted in a hedge rather than in the middle of a woods somewhere that you shouldn't...

Well from my post earlier this week, some of you may have read about the circumstances surrounding this review. For those who didn't the bike in question belongs to my dad, he got it MOT'd this week and agreed to let me have a go as my insurance covers me third party on any other bike.
This is the biggest bike I have ridden, I currently ride a GPZ500s after passing my test towards the arse end of last summer.
