Post by ScottDRZ400SM » Sun Dec 01, 2019 11:45 pm

Hi guys, I have a drz400sm and I'm on a restricted licence here in New Zealand. I'm planning on moving to northern ireland and I wanted to know can I change my licence over and will I be able to still ride my bike?

Hi and welcome to the forum

I don't know the answer to the question but out of interest what restrictions are in place on your licence?
Fines are taxes for doing bad, taxes are fines for doing good.

I don't think your entitlements carry over.....that only applies to EU countries as far as I'm aware.

Have a look at this link

A lot depends on your “residence” or visitor status.

as I said on my other post I'm not sure ,I'm quessing ur restrictions are possible like are old restrictions ie up to 33hp??? All tests have changed and go by age at different levels off powered bikes, if over 25(?)u can do direct access test to open options to any cc bikes ,this all depends on your experience and want to go through the hoops of theory first then mod1,mod2 etc...average cost in northern Ireland for test start to finish inc bike hire and lessons if roughly £600-£800 helmet and gear borrowed from instructor..... Where in ni u moving too and when ?
I'd rather cry in a Ferrari :crybaby:
