Restricting

I have a sinnis shuttle 125cc I put a Toro exhaust took the baffle out and on the straight I can get about 70 on a good day but i haven't taken the restricted part from the engine is this worth removing this will it make a difference thanks

what does your licence say ? oh and insurance as well .
why not ask your local police force and insurance company ...

Far better - and more legal - to look at you gear ratios. Most 125s are over-geared so struggle to hold higher speed in top gear as the engine isn't running at it's max torque. On most 125s dropping a tooth on the front cog will actually increase your top speed. It's counter intuitive because most people think higher gearing means higher maximum speed - which is correct but only if the engine can deliver the power to overcome the forces of wind, gradient etc.

125's nowadays are restricted by BEING a 125. Long gone are the days of derestricted 100mph 2 strokes :crybaby:
