Hi all

New member, 40ish (cough) years old. Just done CBT. Own a Honda CB125 F (17). Will be looking to do full license probably spring /summer time. Want to get some practice on this first but already that bling of next bike (very much like the CB650). But like I said the wife won't sanction that yet.

Not really looking for any advice at this time but looking forward to learning.

Not sure where bling came from on that post. :?

Anyway I love the look of the CB650 but I have time fall for any number of bikes before I can ride one that size. Hoping that pottering about on the 125 should see me in good stead for the full license within 6-9 months.

Hello,

Sounds like a plan. I think if you can do it on a 125 you can definitely do it on a bigger bike.

Welcome 👍

“It’s shit. And as soon as I get home I’m going to buy one.”
That was a fellow journalist’s first impression of the BMW R nineT recently. It’s a pretty accurate summary; the R nineT is somewhat ill-mannered by modern motorcycle standards but also instantly, inarguably, infatuatingly wonderful.

You will probably need more than one bike, just to be forewarned

I fear you could be right Mike, one step at a time though. 😂

I'm sorry but that's simply not true - a preowned R1 can take you anywhere you need to go, in style and on time.

Not without some specialised tyres and a bit of modification!
