Hi, I'm Deet. I dont yet own a bike but I'm wanting to get one. I need some advice tho. I need to know whats a good cheap beginner bike that can carry a little luggage. I'm 5'2 so I need something short. I plan to use it as my main transportation. Any advice is welcome as well as tips for being a short rider.

Some sort of low rider cruiser style for your height I reckon. Honda and yamaha do plenty from 125 upwards and suitable for shorter riders.

Not sure if you are restricted to 125 or not but I had a friend just under 5'02 and he had a yamaha xv535. I liked it so much that I ended up buying one and had it for a couple of years.

Aim to get your licence and then get one of these . Skip the 125 , you'll never get your money back . Honda 500 Rebel . 👍

Make sure you ride it first. Some cruisers have forward foot controls, so although you can touch the ground easily with both feet, you may not be able to comfortably ride it. My vn900 custom has forward controls and it's just about right for me and I'm 5'10.

She can certainly ride! She is Jocelyn Snow and has competed in the GS trophy.

She certainly manages fine!, I know someone of similar size and she manages a newer shape R1 fine, can’t get her feet flat on the floor to save her life though  .

If you've got some ideas in mind, it might be worth check out how they'd fit you on https://cycle-ergo.com/. You pickt the bike, enter your height, select the "put feet on ground" option and it'll show you a graphic that will give you an idea of how near the ground your feet are going to be.

As a beginner, I'd think you'd want to have your feet reasonably near the ground, more like
